Hey, I got an idea. I use TrackIR, and F4AF detects it upon use (I know because the "use trackir in 2d" option is available, but its not if I forget to fire up trackir). Maybe that gets rid of the arrows?
Other than that, I have my X52 set to control the same as you, but I do have a profile loaded for all the buttons. Nothing to address views though, and I can't imagine this would be an issue.
If it IS the detection of the TrackIR, I wonder if there is a way for you to tell it you have it, even if you don't, to get rid of those arrows? I looked in the config folder, but LP encoded those in (mostly) other than english. I could send you my options.cfg file, but it's gonna have my callsign on it. Still, you could give it a test? Just a thought.
You could try shooting LP an email on this. Although I've had less than stellar response from them in the past.
