Mike, I made the profile the way I did because in the real plane if you want to turn on your panel lights you have to look to the right panel in the pit. I was going for as much realism as possible. There are only about 3 working commands for the right panel (unfortunately cuz that was a lot of work to complete). But if you use the Center and Left panels like the real pilots do you'll get an appreciation of their workload. I don't know how realistic the MPCD modes are, but you can also use the buttons on it for some of your radar and weapons modes. I've also added the "Dogfight" button on the MPCD which switches you to Vert Scan/Guns. The profile should be ergonomic enough for you that you shouldn't have much of a problem transitioning from BVR to WVR. Left panel is for the BVR fight, Center panel you'd use for WVR.
And to answer your question, I got my dual screen setup a couple of weeks ago. The F15 profile is much older than that.
