How do I get LOVP to work w/ Touchbuddy?
First of all, big thanks to
Mnemonic for creating the LOVP program and of course
"Codemaster Z" Zorlac for his contributing effort to make this usable with Touchbuddy by combining the scripts of LOVP with the Touchbuddy export script (see this thread for details
Release of new Virtual Panel v.1.2.1! - Page 10 - LockOn.ru Forums. I never doubted this would ultimately happen. I guess both Mnemonic and Z just needed time to take a look at it.
My solution (This only works if you're running TB in a client/server environment - a function of the click-through feature):
1. Backup your export.lua files on both your local and networked machines (just in case).
2. Download Z's tbvp-export.zip script and follow his instructions.
3. Check that the feature - "enable_transparent_tabs = 1" near the end of the touchbuddy.cfg file (touchbuddy root folder) is set to "1" on both the client and server machines.
4. Open WBK's TBtoolkit and add a tab.
5. Go to the tab editor function for the "newly created tab" and make sure Tab skinable, visible and translucency boxes are checked. Leave the "translucency" slider all the way to the left (40 translucency). The radio button for tab button style can remain default (button). Save it.
6. Go to your new tab and "insert" a new TB "click-through " module. Size it to your preference. Maximum seems to work best for this purpose.
Make sure you give your module a "Name" as well as rename the <window-title-regex> name as something other than this. "I got inconsistant translucency until I renamed this window_name box). Leave "noactivate" and "layer" set to their defaults.
7. Save the profile.
You should now be able to run LOVP in a window behind Touchbuddy as originally suggested by
WBK, and see it perfectly when you select your new transparent tab.
OH JOY. Yet another marvelous touchbuddy feature! Hope this helps anyone interested in the integration.
