Are you running locally or in Client-Server mode?

I have not played Lockon for a long time, but I just took a look at my profile and it uses the simple SendKeys type of macros. AFAIK that should work. You could open notepad and use it to test if the correct keystrokes are being sent. I have not heard of any problems with this though..
