Could you give a more detail on how to set up a vmware client server rig? What to download and how to implement it? Hopefully it does not involve a HD format of any kind on the host pc. I would almost think it would be better to be on a separate drive anyway though. I looked through the vmware site and did not know where to start in the downloads section.
Any help would be great. I'm sure there are a few us us that may want to give this a try. I really want to try it to see if its faster than my crappy old laptop or just as good and if my crappy old game rig can even handle it. lol

I'm lucky, I have 2 machines here and can use the traditional 2 machine server/client setup, but the majority of ArmA players only have the one machine available - their gaming PC and this VM solution is going to be ideal for many people.

I have been using Snake Eyes ? ArmA profile . Server / Client mode. I dug up the old computer from the garage , After sorting out some overheating problems . it's worked fine . I do run into the problem of my Server and Client machines swaping IP's from the router (linksys) what a Pita. I have to remember to start the server machine 1st then the client machine to save me from having to edit the cfg file .

I re-used the TS screens just had to redue the setting to match the TS server I use

Do you know how to get the two machines to use a static IP, instead of using DHCP? That will solve your swapping IP problem.

The key to getting the right IP assigned to the right machine is turning them on in the right order. Or, I can show you how to force a machine to grab a preset IP address. It's a simple change to both machines. I'd be more than happy to walk you through it.
