Default TouchBuddy prob

S~ Sir,

Vegas has me interested in this so I downloaded V 1.0.2.4.
I opened Zip to my F4AF folder and clicked on TouchBuddy.exe.
'TouchBuddy encountered a problem and needs to close' window came up and thats the end of that.
Deleted file and Zip redownloaded and opened Zip with same error occuring.

Cheers

THOR

Darned if I see anything particular in the .cfg, but zorlac will probably be able to pick up on it right off... he's a genius w/ this thing!

Thor, I unzipped touchbuddy to it's own folder. Then inside that folder will be the touchbuddy.exe file to click. Dunno if having it inside your F4AF folder would cause problems. Don't see how, but maybe?

For ref., I suggested to Thor that he download TB and fire it up, just to see what it was about, even though he doesn't have a touchscreen (yet). That's what I did originally and it sold me (and yes, I warned him about that! )

try the fix in this thread:

Program Error when starting new TB

and see if that helps. Let me know what happens.

Thumbs up Good to go

S!~ Zorlac,

Thank you sir it works fine now. I did just what you said and bingo I get TouchBuddy window.
If I may a small point re your read me file in directory.
Quick settup is pasted from said file:

QUICK SETUP for "local mode"
- Fire up Touchbuddy.exe
- Select Local mode (the default)
- click on "Config"
- select one of the *.tbc files from the profiles directory
- Click on "Lets Go"
- Its running

There is not a 'config' button to click on there is rather a 'Load' button.
Further when 'Load' button is clicked the profile folder in which the #.tbc files are located in the TouchBuddy directory needs to be broused for.
I figured things out 'cause I had fooled around in the TB directory for awhile before I recieved your marvelous fix.

In a word then..Outstanding!

THOR

ah, yep, you got me... I copied from yours, changing what was necessary. I put that in, playing follow the leader. Whoops!

(hey, how 'bout a pat on the back for getting something in so fast?)
