False Positive: Virus Trojan horse & TB 1.30 (resolved)

Default False Positive: Virus Trojan horse & TB 1.30 (resolved)

According to my virus scanner the following file is a trojan horse. "p2x588.dll"
And now i cant run Touch buddy anymore.

Whose product claims to have found it?

It's probably 'fixed' the alleged infection and porked the dll or moved it into it's quarantine.

Did you d/l the file from this site? If so then it's clean and it sounds like a false positive. Are you using Kaspersky? It used to do stuff like that to me all the time, it removes the file and breaks the program.

I use Kaspersky in my system and it works fine. No virus warning of the TB. Maybe your pc is already caught by the virus.

The virus scanner that found it is Avast anti virus. And i downloaded the file from this site.

Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition... all good here. I downloaded the file a week or so ago though.

I now also downlaod the pack on my laptop and scanned it
and the virus scanner saying it agian.

Now there at 2 things left
1 TB has a virus
2 Avast screwing things up

i downloaded the file again, scanned it...

Virus Free.

Just dowloaded full latest build of touchbuddy and toolkit, scanned with avg and came up with no threats

I had this with AVG, and it deleted the dll which is core to TB. The AVG "generic trojan" plugin caught it and decided not to give me any option about deleting it/keeping it. The dll in question is created by the perl2exe aplication that takes my perl code and creates a exe out of it.

I now leave my A/V turned off, and run it manually every now and then.
