Hi

You have an error in the cfg file settings that you posted.

You need to tell Touchbuddy where the touchbuddy-export.dat file is being created. This would normally be in the root folder of your FC2 installation.

This is what I think the entry in your cfg file should look like :-

lomac_data_file = D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\touchbuddy-export.dat

The TouchBuddy_FC2_Export.lua file should be placed in the D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\Config\Export\ folder and the export.lua modified with Notepad++ to add the following line.

dofile("./Config/Export/TouchBuddy_FC2_Export.lua")

To check you have modified the export.lua file correctly, run a FC2 quick mission once and then got into the LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2 folder. Check that the file touchbuddy-export.dat file has been created [its a dynamic file but last version should be there]

Hopefully the Touchbuddy functions will now work once you have modified the touchbuddy.cfg file.

Active "plugins"
#
# Active Plugin update rate
# On tabs that have active plugins (The Lomac TEWs for example), this value determines
# how often window updates happen. The value is in number on 0.1 seconds to wait between
# updates. A vaue of 10 will give you 0.1 x 10 seconds delay (or 1 second).
# WARNING: Decreasing this value increases the CPU time that TouchBuddy will use. Ideally
# anim_update (above) and active_plugin_update should be the same value, but they dont have to be.
active_plugin_update = 10

# filename of the data file exported by Lomac
# NOTE: THIS ENTRY IS JUST A DEMO ENTRY!!! Remove this and enable the entry below
#that is commented out!!!
#lomac_data_file = .\touchbuddy-export.dat

#this is the REAL location of the data file, the above line is just to demo
#the active Lomac TEWS plugin.
D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\Config\Export\TouchBuddy_FC2_Export.lua

Any ideas?

Yea, what Scrambler said. Loman has nothing to do with Touchbuddy...

You can also just use Notepad to edit these files. Notepad++ is a free tool much better than the regular Notepad, but you may not already have it downloaded.

You could modify the Profile with WBK's Toolkit or just set TB to stretch the profile. Check the config file and set the scaling options like this :-

#=====================
# enable/disable profile scaling.
# This enables TouchBuddy to scale all the buttons, images and
# screen positions at initial load time, so that they fit on a
# screen of any size (within reason!). If you enable this option,
# set the native size of your screen below in "screen_resolution".
# NOTE: The scaling only happens once, when you load the profile.
# It will not scale the profile if you resize the window with
# after you have loaded the profile.

profile_scaling = 1

# set the *NATIVE* screen resolution of your screen here
# (Width, Height)

screen_resolution = 1024,768

# Tells TouchBuddy to not "squash" the profiles if you have
# profile_scaling enabled

preserve_aspect_ratio = 1

#=====================

Which profile are you actually using. WBK posted an initial version of his FC2 Exter-WBK profile on one of the forum messages, it though had a few errors. The version on the main profile download section should be OK I think.

I also scale a version of his profile that I have hacked about a bit to suit my needs, just remembered that there was a slight problem with some things not working properly when the profile has been scaled. The solution was to move all the buttons up one level, fairly simple using WBK's Toolkit.

Was there any solution to fixing the issues with the data not exporting? I can't seem to get any of the data to export to the profile still.

Yes Droz, it has been fixed. You need to download the new export script for Lockon 2.0 here:

I've done all that, modified the export.lua file even, and It's not working for me. I can't figure it out.
