Default Gtr2

With the after market developers needing to go back to school for FSX add-ons, I too got bit by the GTR2 bug. Having great fun Playing it as a change of pace sim.

Sure would be great to see a profile for it. (Brash hint)

I don't have GTR2 but the great thing about rFactor is the online aspect of the game. GTR 2 online isn't even close.

Is GTR2 only $19? At BestBuy it's listed for that, but it just came out on 9/19/06. Good New Games are usually more than that, so I wasn't sure if it was the same game...

I spent 5+ hours playing GTR2 on Sunday... then had to drive back from the LAN in the dark, in the cold, in the rain... i was very tired by this point, but more than once I had that uncontrolable urge to brake late and stuff myself up the inside of the 3 or 4 slow cars in front of me... whoah.... time to wind the window down and get some fresh air in here...

Ok, it's a good game, especially for $19.

But what if I don't have a car steering wheel controller? I've tried playing car games before on my XBox and it was not so good with the normal controller. Also tried a driving game on my pc a long time ago. Using the arrow keys or mouse was not great. What do you think on that point??

I couldnt play any driving game with only a keyboard.... the saitek r220 wheel/pedals was only £30, so I took a chance...

Wow, I just found one at Amazon for $37. I never guessed they would be that cheap. I may have to look into this for XMas...

OK, not sure you guys read the posts about the transparency/click-through module I am working on, but lets see if anyone here recognises this GTR2 profile

OK, first tab, nothing unusual here, right?

and what about when I swap to the system tab?

Yes, GTR2 PD is running on the PC, *BUT* I am moving it and resizing it as per the *.tbc module config (see note), then punching a transparent hole in the TouchBuddy window so you can still see it.... then drawing the buttons over the top of it. If I move the TouchBuddy window, the GTR2 PD window will move too (not instantly, within 1 second). When I swap back to the first tab, GTR2 PD "disappears", even though its still running behiond the TB screen....

Its not perfect, its a bodge, but a great bodge This module *WILL* be in v1.3 but there are still a few things I need to work on, so call it a "released WIP".

(Note: I keep a record of where the window was, and its original size, and it restores these values when the profile is closed or TB exist. I also have the option to make the named windows "noactivate" so if you accidentl click on the named "click-through" windows, the game wont minimize)
