Now that looks very nice. Quite a different 'notebook' look from everything else I've seen. Very inventive Primary! Me likes it!

Thanks guys. I had been working on it all day and by the time I finished working out the bugs and stuff it was pretty late but I thought I have to at least post it, so I did.

I was trying for something a bit different for this one so I've gone for the homebuilt approach. It is supposed to be something a hobby racer would assemble for a day at the track. It also contains pretty much all the commands including a full keyboard for typing messages so you could really do without your keyboard.

I use LFS pretty much exclusively for my online racing. I race mainly in the Australasian based servers (being from NZ) as "Alfa". Enjoy the profile.

That's pretty slick! Very nice idea, Primaryman. I've dl'd to play with it...although the closest thing I have to a racing program is Falcon4Af .

Congrats on a very nice profile...hope you spread the word on racing forums.

Hey PM, nice job, man!

I am also not a race sim driver (yet), but that I really like what you did with that profile. Great idea with the notebook look, it came out good.

I'm always trying to think up different ways to do profiles, something that isn't expected so this one is a bit out in left field. Some people mighten like it so I'm tossing up wheather to do a more traditional one that incorporates the LFS logos and stuff and acknowledges Scavier (the producers nickname) more and has a more racing feel. If I do this it would be reletively easy to port something like this over to rFactor and other race sims.

Another new thing with this profile is how I produced it. My last profile, "Orbiter Deltaglider" was produced in 2D totally within Photoshop using clever layer effects and drop shadows to get that faux 3D look however with this profile I have gone full 3D.

Everything is modelled to scale and fully textured. All the buttons and switches are fully parametric objects which I change to different states with one click so I can render each button up or down. It really doesn't take that much more time and makes for a more interesting profile.

Keep tuned for a sneak peek at my latest foray into 3D.

Have you seen the TB *TB* tab post. Z is looking to have some better button graphics on the *TB* tab. Check it out. It would be great to get some good ideas and cool grapihcs for the *TB* tab.
