Hi fellas,
Firstly, thanks for a great product, I'm amazed at the talent of some people! I'm operating TB in local mode, but am having grief getting Tb to work in the original F4 patched up to Freefalcon 3. Everything seems to be ok, but when I enter the sim itself (ie flying), the mouse pointer will not leave the primary screen, but the touch screen is registering my input because the 2D cockpit pans around everywhere, whilst the buttons/tabs on the touchscreen don't react. I changed the window name in the config file to read "F4 3D Ouput", as this is what windows reisters the primary screen to be called, but that brought no luck. Once again, thanks again for a great product, and Rugg, I'm looking forward to your F15 masterpiece. I purchased a "Skypro-Ind" 8" touchscreen 800x600 from eBay(Aus), works as advertised. Zip |

You didn't say, but do you have F4 Allied Force, and if so, did it work in that?
Give me a little time and I'll reinstall F4 to see what happens. (gotta find that old CD)

remove all references to sendto and default_sendto in the config file, it just causes problems.
The problem with some games is that they lock the mouse pointer so its unable to move outside the game screen area. There are two ways programs can do this, ClipCursor and SetCapture. I can disable the ClipCursor option, but not SetCapture. If it doesnt work in local mode with TB v1.0.1, then you have run into a program that does SetCapture, and it wont work. The cockpit panning is due to you pressing the touchscreen, and the system moving the mouse cursor over as far as it can to reach that touch area, but if the mouse is locked to the game window area, it wont get there... you still get the mouse move events sent, but the button is never preessed because the cursor never gets there. You may not be able to use the touchscreen with this game in Local mode because of this problem, and its a problem that I cannot disable (the system wont let another application un-SetCapture another application).

Thank you for the prompt replies.
Vegas, I don't have F4 AF, still using the original albeit patched up. I did try to use your profile - very nice. I still chuckle at C3PO being an autopilot, he has his pride you know! Zorlac, I'll make those deletions you recommend and see how it goes. Thanks again for your efforts. John |

Zippo, still looking for the F4 CD. I wanted to do some graphical comparisons anyway. But I gotta say, IF touch buddy doesn't work with F4, I won't fly it. This software/touchscreen is just THAT cool.
(I'm sure you know that F4AF is substantially a reworked F4, so I would have thought that TB would work fine with it. Gonna be kinda disappointing if it doesn't. I'll report back here once I check it out.) As far as C3PO, well, everyone else abused him in the films, so I thought I was giving him something useful to do! (plus, I couldn't find an autopilot icon I liked) ![]()

Just updating this thread, in case Zippo is watching it.
Tried regular F4, same problem described w/ the mouse cursor locked to the game screen. Hoping the latest TB might fix this. Also have posted on several F4 forums. Got a few replies like "it is possible" (no kidding... F4AF is based on F4... I KNOW it's possible). No one has come up with a fix for it yet though.

Dunno if anyone else has tried it, but plain ol' F4 will not work with latest TB due to the cursor being restricted to the game screen, no matter what the setting is in TB. So hey, enjoy F4AF, 'cause for me at least, I can't go to back to 'flying' w/o it!
(now I understand why the little 'titles' under members names here had things like 'junky', 'addict' and the like! )
