I had it... wasn't impressed. Got it via Bittorrent awhile ago, but I deleted it. Also, got Red Viper that way... again, not impressed, deleted. When I say not impressed, I mean there wasn't enough difference from F4AF to 'wow' me. I've basically given up on all the flavors of F4 except AF, but I know others like them and that's cool. Plus, I know with any original F4 sims, TB doesn't work, and I just can't 'fly' anymore w/o TB. I had some problems with RV too, IIRC, but YMMV. (I only have local mode available to me, I think the other mode does work, so it may be a non issue for some)

Some people swear the graphics in RV are better, but I just didn't see it (old eyes, I suppose!).

I do wish F4AF would come out with 6DOF for TrackIR & a good 3d pit tho. Can't see why if the community at large can do it, why LP can't.

I had Red Viper too, as well as F4AF. Once they said RV had 6DOF I was in. That was real nice. It also has some extremely nice eye candy too! I bought the HiTiles for F4AF which are great, but eat hard drive space. I wish I had both HiTiles AND TrackIR 6DOF in either one of these games and that's the one I'd go with.

Also, like Vegas said, TB only worked with one of them. I can't remember, but I think it worked with F4AF, and not RV. But I got a pm last Feb from someone that said there were going to fix that so it would work with it. He seemed to know the RV Team was going to fix that.

To see the best graphics in RV I think you need to set the time to sunsets or sunrises for the full effect. Plus some cloud mods looked very good.

I restored my pc from a backup about 2 months ago and have not put either back on yet. Once I got SH4 I got addicted to it for now. Also recently got ArmA, and ordered EE2 the other day.

I have RV loaded over Falcon 4.0, but only V1.0.0.2 I understand there is 1.0.0.3 and 1.0.0.4 but no luck finding them.
(I wouldn't know a bit torrent from a tit borrent )
As for which is better......not a clue, I just want em cause......you know!
I have done a little testing with RV and seems TB is working so far, but I agree with ya Vegas ...If it wont work with TB then it is history.

But while we are on the subject...I"d like to say to all those who have been meaning to donate but haven't yet,,,,,,Don't be like me...I kept saying I was gonna do it,,and kept putting it off.
Truth is it just took a couple of mins, and was the most well spent money I have ever paid for ANY program.

Hey guys, good F4 discussion.

Hipshot, yeah the adds are new. Hopefully they are bringing up some relevant stuff. I may try to work out a way of removing adds for people who have donated.

In terms of donation funds, a lot goes to webhosting, which isn't the cheapest, but has proven to be pretty reliable since the site started.

But, we want to continue the development of TB and TB Toolkit. So if that means donation money goes to Pizza and Jolt for Zorlac and WBK, then I'll speed dial the order line anytime

Got all the RV stuff loaded ....jumped in for a couple of short hops just to look around...looks pretty good to me..BUT....then it started to CTD everytime I loaded it up. Will figger it out sooner or later i recon.
