Hi guys,
I recently heard about Touch-Buddy and certainly like the idea of running other apps and controlling games etc. on a touch screen. Question for you though - I have a laptop, so there's only one graphics card. I generally use the laptop screen as it's large enough for everything I need. Now, if I was to attach an external touchscreen monitor can I use the standard CRT/LCD switch of a laptop to use this software? Alternatively I've seen this touch screen on Amazon: Lilliput UM1010T 10" USB Monitor USB-powered mini Touch: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo I like the idea of the larger screen, but it says it's USB powered and contains it's own built-in graphics card. Now the 'thickie' question - can I just plug this into my laptop and use it with Touch-Buddy? I'm assuming the answer is Yes, but I just want to clarify that. ![]() Cheers all! Px5 |

These are more hardware questions though. TouchBuddy is simply software like MS Word; Notepad; Paint. It does not require any custom hardware, just a second monitor so you can see it when you are playing a game. If you have that, you're set...

Hi Bill, thanks for the reply!
![]() You're right, the CRT/LCD switch only allows another viewing of the same screen - I should have realised that! ![]() The 10" Lilliput screen looks like a good choice so I may go with that one and see what happens. I would like to use it with Steelbeasts Pro PE and various other applications I use. It will be handy - rather than fumbling through menu's I can set macros via buttons. Nice and straightforward. ![]() Cheers! Px5 Last edited by Phoenix5; 06-13-2010 at 10:15 PM. |
