Default Help For a Dumbass

Hi Guys

I have finally got my touch buddy almost up and running. Unfortunately I can't get it to work properly. I have got it all set up on my computer and have downloaded WBK's A-10 profile. This appears on my touch screen and when I touch the various buttons like autopilot for instance the lights come on an it all looks very nice except that it does nothing to the game. Have I missed something out???

Someone please help!

Is your touchscreen attached to your game machine, or on a seperate machine?

another thing to look at is removing all the "sendto" and "default_sendto" options in the *.tbc file, as these seem to be causing more and more problems.

(The tbc files are plain text, so you can open them with a text editor like notepad, and edit these lines out)

I removed all the Send to stuff before I released it.

Wraith, do you get any messages in the TB statusbar when you touch a button?

When you say the 'lights come on', do you mean the Autopilot button on the touch screen?

Is your touchkit on, is there 2 squares on the bottom left or right of your computer. Make sure you have it to were it starts up when you start your computer. I had this problem where when i touch the touchbuddy screen nothing happened and was then told to check to see if it was running by looking for the blue and white square in the corner of my computer and sure enough that was it, hope this helps.

If your talking about the squares that appear 'above' the systray on the desktop in corner, that is an option that can be turned off without any problems. I think it's just a visual que to let you know which mouse button (right or left) your touch represents.

If TouchKit is running, you should see it's icon in the System Tray.

Hi Guys
I was geting a message in the bottom of the TB screen but could not read it, also when I use the screen I can press on autopilot and the button will light up green and stay that way but nothing happens to the plane in flight the same with flaps undercarage etc. It seems like nothing is mapped to the game itself or do I have to do that myself???
cheers

Right-Click it and select Exit. But then your TouchScreen won't work when your touching it. You need this program running in your SysTray.

No you don't have to do that yourself. You need to read the message in the Statusbar. Drag TB over to your primary monitor and you should be able to read the message.

PS:
What Zorlac Asked....
  • Is your Touchscreen connected to your game computer?
  • Are you running TB in Local or Client/Server mode?
