Ahhh, yes, and here is the problem. I was using MS Paint to make buttons. Of course I knew that I cannot make them that way, but why could I not use the sample transparent.gif button provided in the demo profile?

Anyway, I suppose I need paint shop or something to make the transparent boxes?

Maybe I could get on teamspeak with one of you sometime and we can walk thru a couple of these?

Steal hotspot01 and 02.tga out of my F15 profile. They're two different sizes and they may work for you.

Rugg, it looks like hotspot02 is going to do the trick for me. Must be that TGA format that makes the difference -- not sure, but it worked. Will need to resize my keypad just a bit, but it needed it anyway, I think. Great stuff, thanks.

Oh yeah, baby....

turns out the button was hotspot02.gif and not .tga but it works and i'm damn sure getting some good mileage out of it. thanks again Rugg.

now the challenge is not how to program but what to program.... i mean, what to send to the HOTAS (using a X52) and what to TB and what voice commands, etc. we got about 530 commands to map out in Janes FA-18, though i won't use them all. ideally i'd use some voice regoc software in a true pit setup, but i don't have a separate room, so TB will have to carry the comms load now (finally).

already cranked out 3 pages just for the UFC panel. i am rolling now... loving that clone button!

Rugg, one more question --

I want to take your hotspot01.gif and make it just tad bigger. Or maybe take of them and make it longer, into a rectangle shape. How can do that (what software should I use) to resize those images and make additional hotspot buttons? Any suggestions?

Can you "Save As" .gif's with your current program? If so, resize the .gif and "Save As".

OK, right.... I guess I am able to open these in Microsoft picture manager, and edit them. I can't see the image because it's transparent, but I can do a simple resize and save it under another name.

And I see that I am also able to crop the image as well, so I can make it rectangulary. Beautiful, works great. Thanks, Rugg.

I'd have made you some if your program wasn't capable of doing so. I'm glad it is, because know you know one more function of that program. That bit of knowledge will help you troubleshoot something later.
