Default seting up the TEWS display among others on my secondary display, Lomac

I've been trying to figure this out for a while now, and I just happened to see someone who's done this, but perhaps not with lomac?

This is not much of a touchbuddy idea, rather just a multi display question.

I saw this image
http://www.touch-buddy.com/ppost/data/2/tbcloseup.jpg

and what I would like to do is something like this, but with the TEWS taking up most of the screen. How would I go about doing this?
My secondary screen does NOT have zoom controls and uses the same resolution (1280x1024) as my primary.

What I want is a BIIG tews so I can estimate range better

Any ideas?

The TEWS currently is a static image, not active in any way, but with data export on my list of things to do, and the ability for TB to run ActiveX modules written by others that will be able to read the exported data, a fully functional display should be possible.

You might try something along this line:

Hi ZORLAC !
I just had a quick look at http://www.simmeters.com/

Amazing! Will this ever be possible with TB? I know - it all started with just
pressing buttons but now people come up with HUD display on TB or MFD
display on TB.

In fact HUD displays and MFD displays was one of the earliest features we added to the long term roadmap. Fundamentals must come first though. But given the current state of the TB core code (somewhat mature now), these additional custom features are getting closer to seeing the light of day. Zorlac might want to ellaborate further. Just keep on encouraging him

The plan is probably going to look like this:

- I get the code in place to exprt data from Lomac in a format we can use and dump it into a local file on the game machine

- TB will take that data (either in local mode, or transfer it to the client machine in client/server mode)

- Then, rather than myself writing the code to display the HUD, TEWS, etc, (which would take valuable time away from coding TB core stuff), we can look at writing some ActiveX modules to run in an ActiveX plugin area, and these modules can parse and display the data however they see fit.

I know zero about ActiveX, so it seems to me that it would be a big "waste" of time for me to try to learn it when we already have people who can do them. The right tool for the right job (err... not that I am calling anyone a tool, you understand )

Well that sounds like A LOT of work! I wonder if this will really work online.
I mean exporting files, reading files - sorry I can't help. Also have no idea
about programming ActiveX.

Maybe someone should ask the guys at SIMMETERS.com
Seems that they already have done all the work.

Anyway - I am really excited about what you guys will come up with.
