Default properly (safely) close TB application?

I don't see any way to close this touchbuddy profile when I want to get back out of it. How is that done?

When I simply close the window (push the X button), I get an error message more often than not. So I must not be doing something right.

thanks,

Ripcord

Hey Rip,

I'm not sure what profile you are referring to, but Zorlac will probably respond soon and I'm not sure what problem you are having when getting out of a profile.

Typical procedure is to go to the *TB* tab using the TAB navigation buttons along the bottom and touch the "Close Touch Window" button, then use the "x" box to close the TB launcher.

If you have hidden the TABS display you may have trouble getting to the *TB* tab. Profile designers should always provide a *TB* button somewhere on their profiles to stop people being locked out from the *TB* tab.

If you have hidden the TAB strip and there is no way of getting to the *TB* tab I think Zorlac have enabled hotkeys, the hotkey for the *TB* tab should be SHIFT + ALT + CTRL (all at the same time) + T.

You know the standard microsoft error message... an error has occured, the application will be closed. Apologies for inconvenience, etc. (sorry, i'm translating it from Russian windows).

If the application wasn't saved, some data may have been lost.

Then it asks if you want to send a report to Microsoft, or not. You have to click one of these two boxes. Then it closes.

It happens even if I go to the TB tab and close the TB window. Actually that part works good, but then after i close the TB launcher, I get the message.

So far nothing bad has happened, but this can't be a good thing if it keeps up on a regular basis.

Maybe I need to do a fresh install of TB, or use another version? For some reason I am also unable to get the help screens.... I downloaded the core version just last week.

Exactly the way I close mine down using Client. And by clicking on the "x" in Server after finishing the game. No Error messages to report - (XP Home on the Server, and Pro on the Client)

Have posted this, just in case Zorlac asks how the users normally close TB down (while fault finding Ripcords problem).

What operating system are you running, Ripcord? Does it happen on all profiles, or just your own one?

It doesn't seem to happen with the touchbuddy demo profile. But it does happen with my profile, AND with Magnum's F4:AF profile. Tried it a couple times with that one, same thing.

I think maybe the next logical thing to try is to go get the full download, with all the different profiles (that I won't use) and see what that does for me. However, I'm not sure I'll get to that today, and later tonight I'm off on another 10-12 day trip..... so if I don't get back to you all right away, I appreciate your help and I'll look into this more when I get back.

Thanks,

Ripcord
