Welcome to the forums ArtMan! That does sound strange.
What is the resolution of your second monitor, and the size and name of the profile you are using? I am assuming the profile's size is smaller than your second monitor's resolution? Do you have the 'Maximize Window' checkbox unchecked on the Windows tab? Also, in the touchbuddy.cfg file, search for a variable called profile_scaling. Is it set to 0? Do you have a touchbuddy-local.cfg file in your TouchBuddy folder? If so, does it have the profile_scaling variable?

Hi Bill,
Resolution first monitor: 1280 x 1024 Resolution second monitor: 1024 x 768 (Eizo monitor with a 3M medical glass touchscreen which I bought for 70 Euro ;-))) I am using one of the example cfg files (ehhhh AF4 standard one) resolution 800x600 (just the standard) I unchecked Maximize Window Profile scaling: I have to find out, I am not behind my game pc I just downloaded touch-buddy and installed it. I did not make big changes and I was just using the standard Allied Force cfg file. I just made some changes in de window Tab. All I got was de main window of touch-buddy was devided for a quarter on my main monitor and de rest on my second monitor. Maybe there is an issue with the standard Hypervision software of ATI? (it is just an suggestion) I will find out tomorrow about the "Profile Scaling" for you. My compliments for this program. It gives flightsimulation a next level!!! and thanks for the warm welcome! Kind regards, Arthur (from the Netherlands) OT: please delete "ArtManNL" subscription, something went wrong with activating it ![]() Last edited by ArtMan : 04-11-2007 at 08:28 PM. It sounds like it should be working. Maybe Zorlac will chime in here to help.
Can you post your profile .tbc file? Just attach it to a post? Just to make sure I understand the problem... Quote:
Where is your second monitor in relation to your primary monitor? Can you post screenshots of the Windows and TouchKit Display setups (like these examples): ![]() ![]() It may help to see what the profile says, and what your setup actually is. What is that same location that it always appears? 1/2 on each monitor? WBK

Hi WBK,
please see the touchbuddy.cfg (rar) attachment. The picture "Display properties" you showed me is the same at my computer. But the second picture "Touchkit: TM-868..... (your monitor ): where can I find it in the touchkit? I looked everywhere but I could't find it. Sorry for that..By the way: I'm using the Falcon-SytRep.tbc Regards, Arthur Last edited by ArtMan : 04-12-2007 at 08:37 PM. Reason: adding: by the way..... |

Its the *.tbc file for the profile that we need to look at for this issue, not the touchbuddy.cfg file. Can you post that file instead?

Did you install the touchkit drivers for your Eizo? Or does it have its own set of drivers?
The profile you sent me is set to open at screen position 100x100. Open up the profile in TBTk, select the window tab: The area ringed in red is the screen position that TouchBuddy will place the top left corner of the window. The button (with the yellow arrow) allows you to force the window to be place at the top left corner of any display that the system knows about. Click on the button and choose the display to use. The other way to do this is to tell TB to always open all profiles at a set location, no matter what the profile says. You can do this by editing the touchbuddy.cfg file (or creating and adding this to touchbuddy-local.cfg) Quote:

The second screen (Eizo) is on the left side of the main screen.
I did not do anything with drivers. Does touch-buddy has its own drivers? Tonight I will change the settings because I'm not behind my game pc right now. Thank you anyway for your quick response. |

TouchBuddy does not install any drivers, its just an application that runs on windows. The drivers for the touchscreen itself do all the work of translating the screen touches into mouse moves and clicks, and TouchBuddy uses those to select buttons and send the correct macros.
