Thanks bill,
did not take the firewall down, did stop the virus program, did not start in safe mode. Will try all the above seperate and together and get back with my success or failure. Have tried to even monkey with my router, though what ever I have done does not seem to help. doc. ![]() |

Lets see what I have done.
This may start to sound desperate. I want to have this thing work so bad that it has now become an obsession. Well to recap- COMPUTER 1- Windows XP professional (did I forget to mention 64 version) Amd 4200 x2, 2 gigs, network to Dlink router, and network switch. Server. 192.168.0.104 Computer 2- 3700 x2, 2 gigs memory, Windows xp- 32 version. (client). 17 inch, LCD with magic touch touch overlay, win xp 64 drivers. Touch screen works fine for general use network to Dlink router, and network switch IP 192.168.0.102 Router- 192.168.0.1 Start Comp 1 as server Start comp 2 as client Boot up game (tried ARMA, and Lomac). Neither worked. (have tried with and without virus protection, firewall off) I have deleted the folder for touchbuddy and reinstalled the same versions on each computer. Have made sure the config file on both TouchBuddy directories are the same. Still no joy. Message on the server side says that connection from client refused Also seems that the client hesitates to send a message. Push tab on client side, message below states command/macro being sent to appropriate computer though nothing happens. Seems like there should be no hesitation on my client computer to run. I am lost. Appreciate trying to get this up for me. ![]() |

Wish I could help more, but I don't use networked setup as of yet. But all of the other stuff looks good.
The only thing I could think of is to try it on other computers? Just for a test. I don't know what to say. Something must be weird on one or your pcs, because lot's of people here use network setup with almost no problem. A few may get confused on setup, but finally get it and have no more problems. I don't know if anybody has a XP 64 setup. Maybe try with 2 XP 32 setup? Sorry...

noticed in your cfg you have a match, a partial , and another match IP
#list of IP addresses allowed to connect as clients #when in "Server" mode allowed_ip = match:192.168.0.1 allowed_ip = partial:192.168.0. allowed_ip = match:192.168.0.102 maybe the 3rd line is throwing it off ? Maybe try this in your .cfg #list of IP addresses allowed to connect as clients #when in "Server" mode allowed_ip = match:192.168.0.102 allowed_ip = partial:192.168.0. and add a pw like the others have suggested

How do you spell Dumba##, I like to spell it "Docdoggy".
Well guess what the wonderfull crafted thing of magic works. When I was in the Army they would say the problem was Operator Head space alighment. Guess what I did, created two folders for touchbudy on my system 1 at one point and time, guess where the short cut pointed (you guessed it, the original without the modifications) So remember all that IP stuff no go. Just deleted short cut from desktop, created new desktop shortcut to right folder that was changed and the magic begins. Thanks for helping me pull my head out of my buttock. Now if I can make the LOVP for lockon work I will be fat and happy. Doc. |

Hahh!! Well I'm glad you figured it out. That kind of thing has happened to me too in the past. You want to beat your head on your desk.
Well, have fun now that you got it going. You should be an expert after all the stuff you probably read to get it working.
