Well to start off, I suck.
I think I am smart, at least in somethings. This I apparently am a dumbass at. Please forgive my use of above. I have been seduced by the goal of this project so have purchased a new computer to work as the server and have a touch screen that I am using for the client. I have tried to get both Falcon Af and ARMA to work, no such luck. Well were do I start. I have a Windows XP 64 professional as my host. Host: Amd x2 4800, 2G, 7900 in SLI. Regular 21 inch crt monitor (Game computer) Networked with Netmagic- IP: 192.168.0.104 client Windows xp- (32) Home edition AMD- X2 4200, 6800 pci card, 17inch LCD monitor with magitouch touch overlay. IP: 192.168.0.102 launch a profile for say ARMA- Launches fine have my client have the wonderful button filled paradise of commands I will never be able to remember. Da**, Da**, *&%$#$%@)^*&#, expletive, expletive, no joy. ![]() In the tab the little macro info shows that stuff is getting sent. Macro yada yada, yada sent. No information is sent to the game. Nothing happens within the game. This is the profile I have been trying to use for ARMA. Have attached the most excellent profile of one of your contributors to see if that is part of my problem. (slightly modified by me) Any assistance you can give would be great. I do know that the computers do see each other since I can use synergy to do work on this dual system. Synergy being a program to allow the keyboard and mouse to scroll from one system to the other. Do not use synergy when attempting to have the computers work in |

Seems I can not attached the profile as text.
The only thing I have done is to change the TS stuff to match my particular situation. Thanks. I have not changed any other non-working profile though. Also am using the most recent copy of program and toolkit. This has such great potential, thanks for making it even if it has caused me marital discord trying to get it to work. From the statement you posted above, you may just be confused on what Client/Server means here. Your touchscreen is just a normal monitor, not a computer, so by itself it could not be either the client or the server. If you are only using 1 computer, then you probably have your Main monitor and your touchscreen connected to that 1 computer. So, your computer has 2 monitors. In that case you need to run TB in Local Mode, not client and server. Is this the case?

Oops Sorry. I didn't read the whole thing after I saw that statement. But now that I did read further, I see you do have 2 computers.
I don't use Client Server. But if you post your TouchBuddy.cfg I'll try and take a look at it.

docdoggy,
I feel your pain. Sometimes I feel like dropkicking this electronic box about 50 yards. If you haven't got things working yet you might try the following. Check you touchbuddy.cfg files in both computers. On your server game computer with XP 64 check the following lines under "Server Stuff" #The password used for the server #(checked against the password the connecting clients use) server_password = **your password** allowed_ip = match:192.168.1.102 Do not change anything else in this file. Your post said that your client IP is 192.168.1.102. On your client computer with XP Home check the following lines under "Client Stuff" connect_ip = 192.168.0.104 #The password used by the client #(Used when connecting to a server) client_password = **your password** Again do not change anything else in this file. Your post said that your server IP is 192.168.0.104 Note: You can use any password. Just be sure you enter the same password in the cfg files of both computers. Enter the password between the double asterisks. Also, you might check to make sure there is not an asterisk in front of the "connect_ip=", the "server_password =", and the "client_password =" lines. Start "touchbuddy.exe" on your server game computer. Select "Server Mode". Select "Let's Go". TouchBuddy window should show "Starting Server Mode" just below "Let's Go". Start your game. Start "touchbuddy.exe" on your client computer. Select client mode. Select "Load" with your game profile. Select "Let's Go" and your touchbuddy profile should load on the screen of the client. Hope this helps. Mag_maverick |

Any luck with this yet doc?
Have you tried shutting down your Antivirus and Firewall to just see if they are part of the problem? Maybe boot up in Safe mode?
