!!!DING DING DING!!!
Calling all iL-2 pilots! Calling all iL-2 pilots! Someone posted a fix in Olegs ready room, and it works (well, it releases the mouse from the screen area!) - go to the iL-2 directory - open conf.ini - look for the [rts] section - change "mouseUse=2" to "mouseUse=1" - save file you are done.... reports and feedback from TB local users would be greatly appreciated!!

I tested with a Lock on profile, trying to remember what Lock on buttons correspond to which Il-2 buttons and managed to change crew positions (cannon) and shut down my engines (radar). Hwii.
Now someone needs to get the ball rolling so that the sequel (out in 2007) will allow similiar or even better functionality. |

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !
That was the only thing preventing me from going local mode. Now I won't have to screw/unscrew the touchscreen on my laptop everytime I need to actually use said laptop for some "serious" job, like pretending to work while having a glass of wine at my local restaurant-bar... FT |

Well I rejoiced too quickly...
I moved my touchscreen to my main computer and IL-2 indeed works perfectly with TB. However now TB does not work in local mode with Strike Fighters. I get the symptoms described by Zippo in this thread : http://touch-buddy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=337 so I assume Strike Fighters uses SetCapture to lock the mouse cursor and I'm screwed. Anyway it seems it could have been a pain for me to run in local mode anyway since it seems I have to disable Crossfire in my ATI control panel everytime i want to activate the secondary monitor.... So Zorlac I suppose you can add in the FAQ that Strike Fighters does not work in local mode. FT |

I may be wrong, but I think it would apply to the entire series from SF to WoE. AFAIK TK upgrades all his sims to the latest standards with a patch when he releases a new one. However, I would suggest you try to contact him about the issue. At least some time ago he was fairly active in the community and I'm sure he would be interested in supporting your technology.

Zorlac it is Strike Fighters: Project 1.
Actually I just ordered the 2 other sims based on the same engine, Wings over Vietnam and Wings over Europe, from the States and I might test with those, although as AndyHill said they are most probably behaving all in the same way. If I have time I will ask on the ThirdWire forum, but maybe if you could ask yourself, Zorlac, as you did in the IL-2 forum, it might carry more weight, so to speak. There is a bewildering number of .ini files in this sim and just about everything is user configurable, so it just might be that a simple entry could be modified in an ini to solve the problem, as with IL-2. updated http://www.syn-ack.com/touchbuddy/faq/game-list.html to show that these games do not currently work in Local mode
