Default New IL2/Pacific Fighters - for TB v1.3+

New IL2/Pacific Fighters
by WBK & SytRep
for TB v1.3+

This is the first version of our IL2/PF profile. I hope you enjoy it! The Game and Radio Tabs, plus the wrap-around Toolbar are finished. SytRep is working on the other tabs, which will be included in the next release.

Get it ==>HERE<==.

This profile uses the new 'Clone' type buttons in v1.3 to create the toolbar. This allows the toolbar to have buttons on different tabs, that are really clones of the same button. So button statuss and image states remain the same from tab to tab. The profile also uses the new Tooltips feature for a few buttons.

WBK out...

Thumbs up

I don't run IL2 any more but that is one very nicely designed profile. You can see the evolution the profiles have gone through from the first simple buttons to controls that look to be intuitively a part of the profile and not just a button. This looks like something that could come in the IL2 box

Good job WBK!

Greetings WBK

New to TB. New touchscreen is on the way. I'm in the learning mode in creating graphics...buttons, backgrounds, etc for TB. I've dusted off my copy of Paintshop Pro 7.0 to get started.

I really like the basic layout of your new IL2/PF profile. Can you PM your PNG files for your new IL2/PF profile. Paintshop Pro can handle PNG files and having the PNG files would be a great help in learning the process. I would also like try making some revisions such as adding an engine management tab.

Your TB Toolkit is outstanding. Easy to use. I have a question about your IL2/PF profile. When I open the profile in TB Toolkit, I get the following error message ""Button: Choose Sides-has no macro assigned". I'm not familiar with "Choose Sides" in this game so I do not know what the macro assignment should be. I've changed the button from "toggle" to "static" to stop the message from appearing.

Regards,

Yes, I would be happy to share my Fireworks PNG files with you. Maybe you can help me. I actually wanted to post those files to share with everyone as an example. But Since I use Fireworks, and most people don't, a .png file didn't make much sense. But my old version of Fireworks is able to save as a .psp file. But when I open that up in GIMP, it seems that all the objects are on separate layers. And some of the 3D Effects don't get saved. So, I don't know if it will totally work for you, but maybe you can take a look at it and tell me.

If I find time to do another profile I'll probably try to learn GIMP.

Also, have you seen the demo videos about how to create a simple profile?

Glad you like my IL2 profile. I know it wasn't much use because of the missing commands. But another member here was going to help me with that but must have got to busy because he never followed up. So, I finally got around to updating that profile with lot's of new stuff. So hang in there and I'll post a new version soon. Maybe in the next week or two.

That error message just means that the button does not have any macros. And this is my own idea. It is 'not' a game command. It is just a toggle button in the game that changes colors from Red to Blue so I can remember who the friends and Enemies are. It just helps my short term memory in my old age. Actually I don't use it much anymore.

Here's a sample of my new IL2 tabs:

WOW WBK! You've been busy. Your new IL2 tabs are awesome. Would like to take crack at your PNG files. You can send both the PNG and PSP files if you have them. I'll try both. Paint Shop Pro 7.0 supports both formats but I am not sure to what extent. If I can't get results with PSP 7.0 I'll consider trying some different software. The current version of Fireworks is Adobe Fireworks CSX.

Since I'm new at creating and editing graphics progress might be slow but I'm ready to give it a try.

It would be great if you can also the TB profile as well. It would let me know how it works with my setup. BTW, I'm running in server mode.

Ok. But lets wait till I have them ready to post so your working with the released files. I have Fireworks 4. Maybe if your PSP 7.0 handles .png files it can open them correctly. Fingers crossed. Then you can save them as .psp and I can post them for everybody. Currently we don't have any actual source files posted for the profiles. I think there may be one or two simple ones, but nothing that is a good example.

In this profile, I have the toolbar that wraps around each tab in just the Game .png file. The other files for each tab just have their own buttons. And I have 4 new plugins that I use in this profile. A Music Player, Video Player, Clipboard image displayer, and a Bombsight Calculator.
