Default Bombsight Problems

Hi there WBK !! Ive recently gotten involved with TB through Primarymans recommendation, i pulled out an old monitor from the shed and am using that , it certainly adds to the experience and i really enjoy using it. Only thing is that i am having trouble with the Bombsight Calculator. It brings up this error

Run-time error '13':

Type mismatch

Any help would be appreciated , thanks for all your hard work.

Hy Psy,

Glad you are enjoying TB!

This is the first time I've heard of this. I have not ever had that error, but that doesn't mean it cannot happen.

If you can re-create this error, please tell me the exact steps you do to make it happen, and then I can take a look at it.

Also, FYI... On the Bombing tab, the TAS(Velocity); Distance; and Altitude +/- buttons are designed so that you hold them to adjust the values. However, Zorlac has built-in to TB a .2 second delay between sending the keystrokes when you are holding a TB button. So, for me, it worked too slowly, and I just used the keyboard for those buttons. But I have not heard anybody else comment about them, so maybe that was just me, or they just use the keyboard too. Just wanted to let you know about those buttons.

WBK

Heya Psykick glad to see you found the forums.

I've had a think about your problem and I've listed some ideas below:

1. Check to see you are running the lastest build of Touchbuddy. It should be v1.3.0 (Rev: 18). Go hear to download: http://www.touch-buddy.com/forums/lo...ks.php?catid=1

2. Redownload the profile and reinstall. Make double sure to extract everything in the right place. Read the Readme.

3. Download all 4 of WBK plug-ins (Bombsite, Clipboard, Music, Video) and install them again.

4. If you are still having problems with the profile I have created a LITE version. It is basically the same but I've removed the Clipboard and Info tabs and also removed the music player plugin. This just leaves the buttons and the Bombsite Calculator. This is what I use online since I don't use the other stuff. I can send you this Profile for you to test.

5. Finally if that fails you can make it even lighter by removing the Bombsite plugin using the TB Toolkit programme. This would at least isolate the problem.

6. Have you had problems with any of the profiles distributed with Touchbuddy like my Orbiter profile for instance? This would tell you if its your install of TB thats causing the problem or WBK's profile.

Let us know how things go.

DOH!!! Apologies WBK I haven't checked my PM's for ages.

Got your message and replied. I also set it up to get e-mail notification in future so it won't happen again.

Psykick,

I've been playing with a new version of the Bombsite calculator that WBK has sent to me and I have found that I get the same error message. Here is the full procedure I used to repeat the error.

1. Launch TB
2. Select IL2 profile and "Lets Go" (In local Mode)
3. Go to Bomb tab straight away
4. push mph>kph button first without any other inputs.
5. Crash with following:

6. After clicking OK program continues to run but with a white box as you discribe.

I have sent a detailed beta report to WBK stating all I found but I did find that when you go to the BOMB TAB for the first time that if you enter some values into the IAS and ALT boxes before clicking the mph>kph button clicking it doesn't cause the crash and the program continues to run fine. Remember that this is with v1.1.0 of the calculator so earlier versions may behave differently but it is worth a try.

Please tell us how it all works out and hopefully we can get this bug squashed.

I don't bomb much, so this got past me. I was always testing with dragged values already in the controls. It was an easy fix, but still need to do some testing and then package it for upload.

Thanks PM for testing!

WBK Out!

PsyKick & PM,

I have uploaded a new v1.1.2 Beta version in the Plugins Section. Give it a test and post back when you have a chance. If all goes ok, I'll remove the other Bombsight Plugin and make this the new one.

Thanks,
WBK
