Hi all,
after a very long time I fired up Lockon together with TouchBuddy lately. And I was shocked, because I got a real slideshow. Even the mouse wouldn't react in the main menu. When I moved the mouse, it sometimes took about 10 seconds until the mouse really moved on the screen. Same happened when clicking a button - no reaction at all in many cases. So I shut down TouchBuddy, started Lockon again and everything worked fine as usual. Another thing: When I press a button in TB for the first time, my Lockon window minimizes (local mode). Only after maximizing it again, the button presses in TB will work, but after minimizing I usually get graphics corruptions in Lockon. I thought this had been discussed before, but I can't find the thread. Any hints from you for these two issues? Maybe a wrong configuration in TouchBuddy (the setting for dual core e.g.)? Any help would be appreciated. Tom |

Hey Tom,
So, you're using TB in Local mode? Did you reboot and try again? What version of TB are you running? What profile? I also had not played Lockon for about 4 months, and fired it up last weekend in local mode using Exter's new profile. I had to upgrade from TB v1.3.16 to TB v1.3.18 due to problems, but then it worked fine. I didn't have the problem of Lockon minimizing when I touched TB. I do have that minimize problem, but it only seems to happen with IL2/PF. Every single time I start that game, the first time I touch the touchscreen IL2/PF minimizes, but after that everything works great. I did post about this problem a while back. I'm kind of thinking it's not due to TB as much as just the touchscreen. Not sure though really.... In IL2/PF you have to change a mouse setting in the .cfg files to set it to let the mouse off the primary monitor, so it may just be something to do with the mouse emulation on the touchscreen.

I´m also using TB in local mode. System: Dual Core 6600 Prozessor, 8800 GTS and 2GB Memory ... LockOn needs 100% of the first CPU, the other parts are working with the second CPU ... TB needs about 6%, when I touch it up to 15% ... I don´t have any problems ... I´m using Revision 14 of the TB ... but the newest one is better --> 18... and my TB Profil is qiute big ... almost 80 Pages...

Same problem as described with TEWS activated in local mode.
I had to deactivated all this extra features to maintain a good game. FYI : C2D6600, 3 Go RAM, 2x7900GT SLI.

The users with slow downs, which AntiVirus application are you using?

I knew this would be a prolem for "local" users, and stated this from the first time I let it escape
![]() With the game running at 100% CPU time, hammering the graphics card absolutley flat out, as fast as it possibly can, any program that requires anything more than just a few CPU cycles will affect the game. I was never going to win this battle. Take your pick: It would slow the game down when it updated the active modules or If I made TB run at a lower priority, then it wouldnt update as fast as users wanted or If I made TB run at a higher priority, then it would affect the game even worse. One options, especially for Lomac, is to set "MaxFPS= 30;" or something in the graphics.cfg file. This will thenlimit theamount of CPU/GPU hammering the gamewill be doing, allowing some spare CPU clock cycles for other applications. Do you really need Lomac running at 60fps? (I know, this wont help the lower spec machines... not much I can do about that).

This is weird. I run in local mode with the TB modules and it runs as good as ever.
Edit: I also am running 2 video cards because my primary doesn't have 2 outputs.
