Default Opportunities for TouchBuddy

Hi All,

I believe there are much bigger opportunities for TouchBuddy SW for FS9 and FSX users than combat sims, and I'm a big fan of combat sims (IL-2 and Falcon 4.0).

With the introduction of very complex aircraft such as LevelD and PMG 3rd party SW, it becomes even more difficult to use the mouse to point and click button presses when a touch screen is in order.

So, once I get some issues resolved, I plan to promote TouchBuddy on some of the other forums I visit as well as posting profiles.

Thanks Bill. It seems like the FS9 and FSX community has been slow to accept TB for some crazy reason. I even remember some comment when I posted over there where one guy was saying "Why the heck would I want that?". Well, if he didn't understand it, my explanations weren't going to help him.

A few thought it was neet, but we have very few members who talk about FS or even IL2. But I just released a nice IL2 profile only a few months ago, so there wasn't a lot of profiles for that.

Wild Bill,

I believe the single biggest challenge for most is creating the artwork. Some of your contributors have some advancd skills in creating some very appealing screens in each of the tabs. However, once you have some basic buttons created, and a SW program (PhotoShop or something simpler to use) to add the text, the rest is very straight forward (TouchBuddy is easy to use). My stuff will be simple, but functional.

I had a little challenge setting up my Lilliout 10.4 in touch screen and video driver (Nvidia), but once I got past that it worked beautifully.

As I said before, I'll attempt to generate interest on the Microsoft sim forums.
