Default installing touch kit on TB server, not client

As I already said, my touch screen is my tiny UMPC laptop.
Belinea S.book 1
When I install Touch Kit, it asks for the location of the TB executable. Now I'd really rather not use TK on the little Belinea keyboard and mouse. I'd like to use iit on my main machine, with its big monitor and full keyboard which is where the TB server runs (I use client/server).
What are the implications of me making profiles on the machine where the server runs?
Can I simply copy the completed profile to the client machine?
Thanks in advance,

Tanky -Paul-

Are you sure you are talking about the TouchKit Drivers?? I would think that would come with everything installed and all you would need to do is put TouchBuddy on it and you're ready to go.

And also, TouchKit has nothing to do with TouchBuddy, so there is no reason for it to ask where TouchBuddy.exe is located. So, I am confused....

I am going to assume you are asking about where to run TouchBuddy Toolkit. You can run it on any computer you want to create and edit profiles. Save the profile and you can copy it to the other computer if you want and open it from there. Or since the computers are networked, you should be able to map a drive and open a profile from another computer on TouchBuddy running on the server computer.

That screenshot is the TouchBuddy Toolkit, not Touch Kit.

This is TouchKit:

As far as TouchBuddy Toolkit asking for the path of the TouchBuddy.exe, you don't need to give it the location if you don't want to. But if you don't, then it cannot create Desktop Shortcuts or Shell out to TouchBuddy.exe to load your profile for you.

I've read it all again and I understand it now. Thanks WBK.

Yes, between the two of us I thing we were very confused....

Good Luck on your SWAT 4 profile and please post it if you can. You would be the first to post a SWAT 4 profile!

I will certainly post my profile though it's very MP centric and maybe not for the single player (squad control) chaps. Perhaps when I get a deeper understanding of TBTK, I do a fuller profile.

I have to say the vid you put on Google is really helping me a lot. Good job there. Having two screens here, as people who do server/client usually do, means I can watch your vid and pause it on my Belinea while actually making the profile on my main machine/screen. Not having to switch tasks on the one machine is a massive boon!

One quick question, going back to my original query about making the profile on the machine that is the server (and thus, not the one that will eventually load the finished profile) how much do I have to copy to the client machine when it's all done? Is it just the .tbc file or is it the images folder as well?

The .tbc file contains the direct paths to the files in the folders that are below it. You must copy the .tbc file and all folders under it that it uses. You can look at other profiles you have downloaded to see what I mean.
