I've been using your IL-2 Series 2.0 profile, with the plugins. Everytime I load the profile, I am asked to save the plugin .vbd files to a location. And then they don't show up anyways in Touch-Buddy. What am I doing wrong?

This happens when you are using a .vbd file that was not the same version as the plugin setup program. The installation instructions say 1) run the setup and 2) copy the .vbd file.
You probably either didn't copy the .vbd file to the folder under your profile, or you copied it to the wrong folder and the profile is looking at an older version of it in another folder. Simply copy the .vbd file that 'came with' the setup program to the folder where the profile is looking and then the IE should know to load/run the plugin instead of asking you to download/save it. I downloaded this file:
http://www.touch-buddy.com/forums/lo...&id=94&catid=4 There is no setup program. It has all the folders, including the +Plugins folder complete with the .vbd files already in it. The instructions say "Just extract this .zip file into your TouchBuddy Profiles folder." which I did. Do I have to download something else? |

The Readme file says you need to download the plugins if you want to use them:

Ah, ok...yes, I did see that, but then I also saw that the vbd files were already included in the zip file. I guess I was confused by that. Then, when loading the profile it seemed that they were being downloaded, asking me where to save them, and I thought they were being installed.
Sorry 'bout that...should have been more careful. Thanks! |

I thought that might also confuse some people. I wanted to setup the profile as much as I could, assuming most users would start with the profile and all the plugins. Then if they wanted to they could just delete the tabs they didn't want to use. But I was suprised that I haven't had much confusion.
If I release a new version of a plugin, you will need to make sure you run the setup.exe as well as copy the new .vbd file for that setup. Otherwise you will get that download message again. WBK
