Hi All, need advice.

I'm wanting to get set up with a touchscreen rig, and was looking for a little advice.

I'm want to get an 8" touchscreen, with 800x600 native resolution that will work in Vista. Here's what I have:

Desktop (server): Dual boot Vista(64) / XP(32) + Dual Monitors
Laptop (client): running Vista(32)
Old Laptop: running XP(32)

I could go XP if I had to, but I would be losing memory on the Desktop, and using a rather old brick of a laptop for the client.

As a test I made a quick (one button) profile for Microsoft FSX and it seemed to work fine mouse clicking on the laptop (client). So all I need is a touchscreen that has vista drivers.

After searching EBay I stumbled on this:

I can't tell what manufacturer it is, but it looks nice, list vista drivers, and the price is right. Has anyone used this screen, or have any other advice for me?

I don't use Vista and I have no heard of that touchscreen before. But I have not heard of anyone here complaining of problems with their touchscreens...

If you do a search for Vista on the forums, I know we do have users running all this on Vista.

Well I went ahead and ordered the touchscreen (from the link in the original post)

So far so good. It runs fine in Vista (it uses eGalax drivers) and its 800x600

Now I just need to start making some custom profiles
