I would like to see the possibility to assign text labels to buttons.
For me, this is only interesting during profile-development - as a kind of "RAD for profiles" (Rapid Application Development): While developing a profile I use a handful of "dummy graphics" as buttons. Like rectangles, triangles and circles in different colors. But I have to create a new graphic for every button with a different label and/or color. It would be easier, if I could use the same graphic as button background for every similar looking button - and just change the text label. Label's adjustment could be centered, left or whatever - it's not essential because I use it only during development. |

It's not toolkit specific. It applies to config files in general - and the way how TouchBuddy interprets the configuration.
Actually I can specify a graphic only - to define the look of a button. If I want a text on a button, I have to create a graphic with that text and the button background. For me it would be easier if I had an additional parameter for buttons, for example called "label". The given text will be shown on top of the button graphic. Therefore I need only 4-5 different graphics - as button backgrounds. The rest is defined in the config file. To cut a long story short - an example. The buttons are taken form the "brewber_su25t_v2" profile. Two buttons are defined. Both use the same graphic. But the labeled text is different. [new-button] type = button name = scanleft ... ... image_file = TestProfile\generic_btn.jpg label = LEFT [end-button] # [new-button] type = button name = scanright ... ... image_file = TestProfile\generic_btn.jpg label = RIGHT [end-button] The graphic for both buttons: ![]() The graphics how TouchBuddy should show it: ![]() ![]() |

I'd like to ask about the possibility of custom-skinning the *TB* tab & buttons per profile, &/or allowing access to its functions on other tabs (cursor type, min/max, title/tab bar, etc.
Also, I'd just like to second (or third, or whatever) most of these requests from Corsair8X, CajunRon, Mag_Maverick, and KhorneBanelord ... Customizable hotkeys for TouchBuddy tabs. Customizable sounds for associated buttons (or macros, so sounds work server-side!). TouchBuddy text button labels, so one generic 'button' graphic can be easily used for multiple buttons in a profile. Rotary & Slider controls. Thanks!!! |

Really pleased to hear that TB2 is going to be made
on a sidenote how about TB light for Iphone, think it would be quite easy to create, there is a lot of vnc and remote mouse/keyboard apps already out for the iphone, also would be an easy way to generate some revenue via the itunes app store, would just be a simple frontend program on the iphone, and use the current server program? also check out x-plane for iphone, its surprisingly good ![]() |

Hey Urban, cant confirm 100% that we will develop 2.0. I'm compiling the feature list and doing some effort estimates. It's a complete re-write, so will take some time. Also need to do a cost analysis... it may not make sense to do it if we don't have a way of recouping costs. Though there are no plans on charging for TB at all.
