Thanks.. I was able to do the 4 point calibration now on my main monitor by touching the touchscreen. But that did not help. I calibrated my main monitor and then set it to my second monitor and calibrated and that did not work. I did it again and did a clear and calibrate and that didn't work.

I don't know what is wrong. I tested it on my old computer a week ago and it works fine. So, I don't think it is the touchscreen.

Bill,

Is there any chance to get the original developer of Touch Buddy to look at this issue?

I assume he uses Touch Body when he is simming, and will eventually switch to Win 7?

hmm, sounds not good wbk

Did you set the Monitor to fullscreen in the function mode??

I was set the mainmonitor down to a third, for to see all points, but after them my touchmon was working like yours. So i has select fullscreen first and and take the 4 point calibration on both monitors and after clear and calibrate it was working fine.

hmm, i dont have a clue. I hope your find a solution for this.

sorry for my bad translation and also sorry for not to find a solution for you.

Regards Peter

No problem with your english. I understand you fine.

I did change the main monitor resolution to 1280x1024 and could see all of the touch spots fine.

I am using an extension monitor cord on the touchscreen and wonder if that is causing problems since this has happened in xp and Win7. But it does not happen on my old Dell, which is close to the touchscreen and does not need the extension cord. I'll have to test that...

This has caused the problem for me. When i take the 4 point calibration in fullscreen on the mainmonitor, then the touchpoint is realy big and a part of them is outside of the border. But after select them with touchscreen the calibration has worked.

I think thats the reason why your calibration works not well. I think you must use it with the standardresolution of your monitor, for to get it working well.

I´m happy to hear, you unstand me fine

Its realy difficult to answer in an other language, when just speaking german.

Well, I tried everything. I made the monitors both 800x600 and did the 4 point Calibration. I made them both 640x480 and did it. I did Clear and Calibrate. Nothing worked. Finally, I went into the hardware options on the monitor and adjusted it's Vert and Horiz alignment so that it displays in the correct location where the mouse goes when I touch it. That works. The entire screen is about a 1/2 inch up and to the right, but the TB profiles still fit ok and the mouse goes where I touch it now.

Cool Re: Touchscreen Software over Windows7

I was experiencing the same problem with my point of touch and the mouse pointer not lining up. I tried several of the remedies mentioned in this thread with negative results. So I decided to download the EETI Win7 drivers ver. 5.6.0.6806 and finally got my touch screen to work. I performed a nine point calibration and insted of the 4 point. Instead of touching in the middle of the flashing arrows I calibrated on the surrounding circle at approx. the 8 o'clock position on all position because my orginal contact was high and to the right, conducted a draw test and everthing lined up nearly perfect. I had to do several 9 point calibrations around the circle to find the position that worked best for me. I tested an profile using Touchbuddy inserting pressure directly on the buttons and it working like a charm with the mouse pointer lining up on the button. I hope this help

Well, I finally just adjusted the horizontal and vertical display of the screen to move to where the mouse appeard and that was working ok, but the screen was off the display about 1/4 inch.

Outlaw, I just tried doing a Clear & Calibration and using the stylus pen to touch about 1/2 inch to the bottom/left of the calibration circles and that WORKED! Now my touchscreen puts the cursor where I touch!

Thanks for all the help guys!!

Very helpful and good timing; I'm just about to fire up two new touchscreens on a new Win7 machine.

@Peter: your English is way better than our German!! (I too had no trouble understanding you )

Thanks, everyone!
