Cool Wings of Prey

This simulation is well done. I am really enjoying it. The terrain and weather effects, planes, damage models, flight models for the most part, and multiplayer are done very well. I decided to test it out with Touchbuddy. If I disable all the mouse commands from the controls set up Touchbuddy works quite well. My profile for testing was very simple (Gear, Flaps, Engine, Dive Brakes, Bail Out, Map, Stats). But it showed that Touchbuddy could work great with this sim. Hopefully someone with more Touchbuddy talent than me can take a look at Wings of Prey.

S! ColKilgore,

Have you ever played IL2? If so, how do you think it compares? Flight Models; Damage Models; Realisim?

The reason I ask is that some of the guys I fly with just wrote it off as a 'console' game converted for the PC. So, they considered it an arcade game, not a simulator without even trying it..

The flight models on simulation feel just like IL2.

I have played IL2 allot. It is a mistake to write off Wings of Prey as a console sim. It fly's just like IL2 in 'simulator' mode. It does have easier settings for those who are not learned in the ways of a flight sim. Which I think is a good thing. It is like IL2 but with greatly improved terrain and atmospheric effects.

Peruse the SimHQ forum and see what they are saying about it. Or better yet download the demo and try it for yourself.
