Hello. I have found this forum and quite frankly, and amazed at what the touch buddy can do and am resolved to get one. Before I do, I just need to ascertain a few things:
1) I have two ATI 5970s running in Crossfire; can Touch Buddy work with Crossfire enabled, as I saw some unclear discusion that might might suggest Touch Buddy would not work with Crossfire. Grateful advice. 2) I have two monitors already attached to my cards, and an using 'extended' desktop when using BlackShark. They are running at 1920 X 1200 each. I presume if I get a third, smaller touch screen, I can also add that to the computer (attaching to one of the free ports on the second card, I assume? Right?) and make a third monitor; which can run at a different resolution to the main two? I'm pretty sure I can; just want to be sure. 3) I am in Australia and have sourced a couple of touch screen brands over the net: They are: a) T801 8" LCD TOUCHSCREEN VGA MONITOR; details as follows: Specifications Full function infrared remote control Built-in Speaker Video input signal: 1.0Vp-p 2 Video inputs & 1 Audio input VGA input: 15pin D-SUB interface Touch screen: USB interface Backlight control available Computer/DVD/VCD/Security System/Navigation system/Rear view camera compatible Support up to 1024?768 format Display Screen: 8 inches TFT LCD new panel High Resolution: 1,440,000 pixels 800x600-1024x768 Color System: PAL-4.43/NTSC-3.58 Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Contrast Ratio: 500 :1 Brightness: 350 cd/m2 Viewing Angle: 50/70(U/D) , 70/70(R/L) Audio Output: 100mW Input Voltage: DC11-13V Power Consumption: =12W Size: 205W * 150H*210Dmm(Unfolded) 205w*178H*67Dmm (Folded) Weight: 1.2kg/ 2kg (including all accessories) Warranty: 1 Year Accessories Include: 26P SKS Patch Cord AC Adapter Remote control VGA Signal Cable Drive Disk for Touch Function __________ and.. b) Xenarc 805TSV 8" Touch LCD; details as follows: ?For In-Car Computing, PC, Server, GPS, POS, and various VGA Use ?5-wire resistive Touch Screen (USB) ?Multi-Monitor Touchscreen Support ?VGA Input (15 pin D-SUB) x 1 & Video Input x 2 ?Audio Input x 3 / Built-in Speaker ?NTSC / PAL Multi-System ?4:3 Aspect Ratio ?High Resolution Display ?High Brightness LED Backlight *New* ?Adjustable backlight level for night-time use ?Realtek High Performance Image and Video Signal Processor ?AISS - Advanced Image-Scaling and Shaping ?Factory Mode to disable front buttons *New* ?Factory Mode to disable On Screen Text *New* ?Last Input memory ?Last Power setting memory ?IR Remote Control ?Auto power-on upon signal detection ?Automatic display adjustment ?On Screen Display Control ?Mirror Image Flip ?Vertical Image Flip ?Desktop Stand: -5? ~ 70? All you need is a Windows pc that has at least two monitors. Preferably one of the monitors is a touchscreen. That is all that you need, and then yes, TB will work. No other specs matter as TB is just a simple program like Notepad or Paint. After you start TB you just drag the window over to your touchscreen/second monitor.

Ok..thank you Wild Bill Kelso. I take it then that it will work with crossfire, as you say no other specs matter, and that the touch screens I mention are good to go. I now just have to work out how to have three monitirs on my crossfire setup. Thank you. I'm really looking forward to getting this baby and setting it up. I think it will be as important an evolution in my simulation flying as the introduction of the Track IR was.

Hey Wild Bill...just one more thing: of the two touch screens I have listed, which one would you go for? Both look good but does one jump out over the other in anyway? (Don't worry; will not hold you, or anyone else who cares to comment, accountable if it turns out to be a lemon!

They both look ok. I don't know the manufacturers so cannot comment on them to much. It looks like they both may have a native resolution of 600x800, but that's a guess as I didn't see anything specifically saying that. But you will be running them at the native res for best performance, (and so text does not get garbled), so that is important. I also have an 8" and run mine at it's native res, which is 640x480 (too small), but I use a feature in the TB software to stretch profiles to fit, so it looks ok. Wish my touchscreen had a native res of 600x800.
