FAO 640x480 screen users - question...

Just curious about how profile_scaling is working for you guys.

Before, you had to set your touchscreen into 800x600 mode (using hardware scaling) and load the large profiles. Just wondering if the profile scaling option makes the large profile look better, now they are in the screen's native resolution.

I have the TM-868 w/ 640X480 native res. I think the text stays clear with scaling. I've noticed that the tab buttons are black upon start up, which didn't happen w/o scaling. If you click thru them once though, they refresh and are labeled correctly. It doesn't quite fill the screen as well as when set to 800X600 (even when maximized, but that makes it a little better). But it does save me from switching res, so I think it's a keeper!

I played with it today and it seems to work pretty well. I can now easily read the text in the statusbar. I was using my A10 profile which is designed for 800x600. The rescaling seemed to leave about 1/3rd of an inch of blank black screen on the right side, and the bottom had about 1/4 of an inch.

I agree with the above post.....however I do not have the black tab issue that wbk mentioned..as stated, TB is just a little shy of filling the entire screen.
Bottomline, I am gonna keep using it!!!!!!
