Its awfully quiet around here recently.... everyone OK and happy?
I have been busy adding new features and code to the project for the last 10 days or so, and awaiting the return of WBK so he can take a look at the new features and add them to the toolkit at some point. I cant give you an ETA for v1.0.2 yet, because there is so much stuff I want to add, and the Toolkit needs code too.... i know that at some point we`ll have to stop and get ready for a release, but no idea when that will be. I am sure you wont be disappointed with v1.0.2... honest!

I sure haven't been disappointed yet so I imagine I can wait for the really good stuff
![]() I imagine it's quiet because it's summer and maybe vacation/holiday time. If you need any help with something, don't be afraid to ask... Cheers!

I've noticed the same thing, but I chalked it up to everyone being pretty happy. I know I am! see>>>>>
Seriously, I think you put together an awesome program with very few bugs and no "game breakers", so that's a big part of the non response. People are just enjoying the heck out of it, and I've been spreading the word whenever I can. ![]() Oh, and I don't know if you recall, but I had a problem with the tabs blacking out when I moved the TB window to my touchscreen. Well, it quit doing that... yup, just quit out of the blue, I didn't do anything... ain't WinXP wonderful?

It occurs to me that the lack of inactivity is that this is a niche product of the highest degree. It costs atleast £70 to get a hard-to-obtain piece of hardware that requires a bit of jiggery-pokery to get working and then offers the ability that a switch box would also probably have.
I'm not 'putting it down', it's just a specialist product.

I know what "jiggery-pokery" is, and if you want to experience it fully, build a switch box! Soldering all the connections and inline diodes, programming, labeling and such! TB is much, much easier and more flexible for those that fly multiple sims. I think I had about $120 in my switchbox when you count all the switches, Xkey controller, building the box, wiring and such. Which goes a long way in cost for a touchscreen. BUT if you are trying to build an authentic looking cockpit, you gotta build switchboxes. So, there's a market for both, and part of the fun is the building I suppose (for some anyway!
). And I suppose people who are REALLY heavy into this sim stuff would like a "cockpit" to fly from. I would too, I just don't have the space/time/money. Gotta say though, in order of importance, I just couldn't do without (1) my X52 HOTAS, (2) Touchscreen, (3) TrackIR, (4) Widescreen monitor. Whoa, THERE'S some $$$ in there! lol ![]()

Guess I have to "defend"
TB, too. Touch screens are not hard to get...what's hard (maybe) is finding a reputable seller. I had no problems at all getting my AutoPC.Also, getting one set up and working isn't that difficult...certainly no harder than many other USB devices...I should know 'cuz I've got 17 USB devices on my main computer right now (3 keyboards keyboards, 2 mouse inputs, game pads, joysticks, printers, touch screen, X-Keys keypad, ... . If you want to see hard, try to imagine connecting all those when we had to set up interrupts and memory space ... no, never mind...it wouldn't have worked ![]() TB is a niche product right now, but I think it has the expandability to move into other applications besides sims. Certainly other games but maybe applications where keyboard input is compliated or difficult (e.g., graphics programs, design SW, etc.). Rugg and WBK are doing a pretty good job trying to promote TB on other sim sites and I think the work Rugg is doing now with hot spots over detailed graphics open up things by an order of magnitude. I don't think you meant to "put TB down" and this is certainly not meant to be criticism. But things were a whole lot harder before TB and TMTK came along. My appreciation to the TB "team" for giving us this latest "toy" to play with ... and it has dramatically improved the immersiveness of my sim experiences.
