Well - I just wanted to ask the creators (ZORLAC, WILD.BILL.KELSO) !
What do you think of doing some commercial posts in other forums to get some more feedback and maybe also more profiles for TouchBuddy?I mean to get this thing rolling! I am thinking about posting something in the SHOOTER area to get profiles for DOOM, HALF-LIFE etc. Something like this: ![]() Is this OK ? It is your idea and your creation - so I don't want to do marketing without your permission. Thanks for your reply.

my biggest worry is that forum users might start to see this as "trolling" if we spam the forums.... its all about HOW the post is done. A reasoned explanation, with details, images and an overview of how it works is good .... over excited, caffeine-fueled blasts give totally the wrong impression of the product. If you are going to post, take your time over it. Really...
Also, if any TB user posts anything, they should make sure that they clearly state they are a user of TB, and not part of the TB core team in any way. I dont like over-publicity... it can be very counter-productive. I also dont want a vast influx of TB "newbies" in a short time, filling the forum here with a huge number of questions that I wont have time to answer.

ok - understand
That's why I asked - sorry for being so enthusiastic! I think you are right - having tons of posts won't help. I was just a little worried that the TouchBuddy formum could die out because there where only a very few post alwalys by (like me) the same people.

Enthusiasm is great amongst converted users, but it just needs to look better to convince non-users to at least take a look, without being scared off
![]() Not a critisism in any way...

I agree with Zorlac. New users would be great. But I also think there should be something they can use when they come here. Like a profile for their game, or a similar game. Otherwise they may just come here and wonder WTF am I here for?
PS: Krel01 I like that image.

Yes you guys are right!
I just wanted to delete my post at the lockon forum but after getting a reply you cannot do it anymore. Sorry. Anyway - I really like TouchBuddy ! I am also more into flightsims than in shooters but from time to time I also get out my gun and play DOOM or any other game like that. Would you also host profiles for shooters here or do you prefer to keep the site primarily for flightsimmers? Shooter profiles could be done pretty easy and could be very cool (see image) because you just have your gun selection and maybe a couple of other buttons but not too many (compared with a flightsim). Maybe I'll try a shooter profile first because I am not as talented as people like Ruggbutt who does this complete F-15 panel from scratch.

I have no problems with profiles for any game, to be honest...

I think TB would be great for strategy games, like a key sequence that would do a build order, for example. But the ones that I've tried all capture the mouse to the main screen. I think a lot of users (well, ME anyway) do local mode. Is there (can there be) a workaround for this in the future?
Oh, and in keeping with the original topic... zorlac, is my sig ok w/ you? I never thought to ask you before (should have, apologies there), but I use it in some other forums as well. As krel was saying, I'm kinda pumped on this TB thing, but don't want to do anything to upset the applecart. Hey krel, VERY nice image for Doom!

There are two ways of capturing the mouse that I know of:
ClipCursor - which tells the O/S not limit the mouse to an area of the screen. This can be overridden by any other application, and by default, this overriding routine is enabled in v1.01 (and an option in v1.02 onwards) Set Capture - Your screwed ![]() So, if v1.0.1 isnt allowing games to work in local mode because of the mouse issue, then there isnt anything I can do that I`m aware of right now. As for the sig, new graphics using the logo winning graphics will be available soon.

So can you only tell the difference in capture methods by trying them? Is there somewhere to look rather than trial & error?
