Sadly, I dont have access to an SLI system (or Crossfire either) to test this out, so it *MAY* work, it *MAY* not. Theoretically, the graphics drivers are well written, it should leave the two cards running SLI, and the third PCI one running as a seperate card.... but again, this hasnt been tested as far as I know.

Would like to know more about the availability of the ribbon cable mentioned as I too have the last remainig PCI slot blocked and I would like to whip my 7900GTX's back rowing the "SLI" long ship.

I would imagine that the timings on the PCI bus are super-critical, so adding a ribbon cable extender must be pushing the very limits of how far PCI will work before it dies
