Default Hello To All

Hi All,

Just a quick introduction and to say G Day, my name is Gavin and I’m involved in online racing (have been for the past 10 years) I came across TB some years ago when flying Lock-On and loved the idea, but we now see some examples for racing sims so here I am once again, only this time registered and plan to get involved a lot more. I’m loving the rFactor layout and have since added a TeamSpeak tab. Like Lock-On maps I'd like to add racing tracks so we can see what a track layout is like come race day .

Anyway enough of that, just a hello and thanks for the hard work that’s gone in to this program.

Eeek, if you mean my rFactor profile, I was so not happy with it I redid it and resubmitted moments ago. However, it sounds like you have the wherewithal to edit to your own liking so it may not matter.

Re: the track map idea, I already started down that road by taking the track loading screens and editing them down to be viewable in another tab via the browser, but don't let that stop you doing anything and running with the idea.

Not really a priority of mine, besides I don't really have problems learning tracks anyways. I have much larger issues to deal with, like learning graphic arts programs and attempting to beg/borrow/steal even a modicum of artistic talent so I can create something that looks nice enough to even stand in the same continent as Primaryman's.

Thanks for the welcome guys appreciate it

RacerTippy what you have done is fantastic and all I’m doing right now is using what you have to rearrange and build from, more so to give me a play and see what can be done. Then I’ll look to open form there.

What I have now is the tabs

COCKPIT > POSITIONS > COMMS > CHAT

Under the COCKPIT tab is a rearrange of buttons, I have the Starter > Ignision > Lights > Limiter all on the left side allowing easy access to the limiter as we tend to have others hard at it behind us and I need to make sure I hit the mark “lol” need every second racing at 200 Plus KM/H

POSITIONS is a link to a web site which provides last lap and current position data live or close to it.

COMMS, real easy TeamSpeak

CHAT, for any which we don’t use much of text in-game chat.

TRACK, providing the loading screen if I can get it to work “lol”

g'day Gav,
great to see you here and that you are already creating/editing profiles.

if i may just add:
Gavin is a well respected member of the online racing community, his involvement will definately help spread the word, getting the message out to the sim racing fans thru his various contacts and associations.
