Default Touchbuddy Newbie here

Wow!,

Looks to be a robust masterpiece! Im in the process of building a cockpit for FS9 and was looking for this exact program. The crew at simviation.com pointed me over here.

It's gonna be awhile but Im gonna setup a profile that includes most options for FS basically my setup will include separate displays for Nav/radios/AP/EICAS/EADI. Inititally I was going to wire in controls using hacked keyboards/usb controllers, but this would limit my design to certain aircraft. Plus this route is pretty expensive and time consuming.

I have a tablet PC with touchscreen on its way which will be my primary control unit to interface to 3 12.1 inch tft displays and FS9. I also have a 12.1 inch open frame touch screen that will interface some how.

Best of all its free, you ROCK! Ill make sure and share all profiles I build.

regards,
John

Hi Masternerd! Welcome to the forums!

I assume you found my FS9 Profile that I made about a year ago? I am no FS9 expert, but it seemed to work ok. And I didn't spend much time making fancy graphics, but it works.

Why FS9 and not FSX?

Looking forward to your profile. Also, post some screenies of your pit!!! We all love to see what cool pits others have made.

WBK

I pretty much decided to use FS9 due to hardware requirements. Close enough to the real thing I say. I downloaded your profile and Im gonna use this for the test bed when things start moving. I like the AP and Radio integration you used.

Ill make sure and post pics as time progresses, Im also gonna put up a site dedicated to the build. Still along way to go, next I need to convince my wife to let me use the 60"dlp for the FS view.

Im using freeFD and fsXpand for the glass cockpit elements, is there a way to interface them into touchbuddy? Thats a big question Im sure. Ill figure it out eventually.

Here is a pic of the "bench" still a long way to go!

P.S. thanks for the warm welcome!

TouchBuddy does have the option to make a Tab Transparent and you can see and click on what is behind the TB window. So, that is doable. Here is an example.
