Black screen when starting IL-2 1946

I finally got the drivers to my LG 17" touchmonitor and it works great with TB and Lockon, but when I start IL-2 1946 that monitor just goes black.
I have changed the mouse settings in the conf.ini and it works fine.
TB is visible just until I start flying.
It worked fine with my old pc and the 8" monitor.
Any ideas from anyone what this can be?

I have not heard that one before. Does it come back if you Alt-Tab?

Have you posted this on the IL2 forums?
Are your main monitor and touch screen monitor both at the same resolution? Or is the Touch Screen the same resolution as what you use in the game? Try changing that...

Yes, the screen comes back wit alt-tabing.
No, did not try that as I think the problem is something with TB together with the new monitor I use.
The main monior is at 1600x1200 while the TS is set for 1280x1024.
I have tried lowering it to 800x600 on the TS but no difference.
I adjusted the TB size to 1280x1024 while I was in that mode.

One thing that I noticed with IL-2 was that it does not handle a pc with two different video cards. I got a 8800GTX as main and a 7300GS as secondary.
So with IL-2 i need to change to use only the 8800 for both monitors.
FSX and Lockon handles it well however.

If it comes back with Alt-Tabbing, then that may be your only choice.

I have An ATI Radeon 9700 and a Diamond Pro video cards in my pc running TB in local mode with IL2FB/AEP/PF with no problems.

Ok, missunderstood you a bit there,
The problem is that disapears when I alt-tab back. (of course)
Going to investigate further next week after I'm back from a trip to Kiel, Germany.

Hmm, I wonder if it has something to do with this being a DX10-DX9 setup.
It works, but the fps are like 40....per minute
Well, not a big isue, as the 8800GTX is well enough to handle both monitors.
Only thing is the manual recabling.

40 per minute? Do you mean per second?

Well, I don't have 1946 so I can't help. I would assume if the second monitor goes black when you start to Fly, that it must be the game that is doing it. In that case I would post on the IL2 forums.

Nope, I said it was sloooow . 40 per minute is unfortunatly right.
I'm going to try some settings to see if it fixes the problem.

Back to the main problem.
I checked again, and I think I missed something as it actually goes black when IL-2 starts..not when I hit fly as I said before. Sorry for that.
So I still thinks something is wrong with the combination, LG screen+ Vista + TB +IL-2.

I just don't see that there is anyway that TB is any part of the problem. TB does absolutely nothing to your video drivers like a game does. TB does nothing to your video display just like Notepad does nothing to your video display. It is just a 'simple' program that displays a window, just like Notepad, Word, Paint, etc...

I would be asking these questions on IL2 forums, because IL2 is probably the cause. Or your video drivers themselves.

Yeah, I think you are right that it's not TB itself, it's just the combination
and numerous possibility of settings that probably are the cause.
My problem is finding the correct ones

Should not be a driver issue as it's working with Lomac, but you never know.

What I really need to hear, is that someone is using TB with Vista and IL-2 without getting this problem. Then at least I know there is a working setup.

Found the problem...OpenGL
It works fine with DirectX, but not OpenGL.

This is probably something with the OpenGL support that is not the best with Vista...so far at least.
