Re-Skin of WBK's IL2 Profile

Hi all,

Having dug out my copy of IL2:1946 after recently discovering TouchBuddy, I've set to work on re-skinning WBK's IL2 profile. Technically, Wild Bill's profile works just fine, so there was no need to change anything behind the interface, however for my tastes I did want the GUI to have a little more of a 'WWII' feel to it.

As it was the most important, I wanted to update the Flight panel first. Here's a pic of it in a default state:



Once I make a little more progress with the other panels/tabs I'll make the whole profile available if anyone's interested.

Looks good, I still fly '46 from time to time and I'd use it.

Looks great Hanger! I assume this is just the center portion of that tab? Will the finished profile still have the buttons around the border?

I wonder how it would look with a little weathering (wear and tear).

Yes, the outer border buttons are somewhat in progress of being made over at the moment. I'm having a busy week this week so it's been put to one side for a bit.

As regards the 'weathering', I'm also toying with that as well, but without a 7"/8" touch screen to play with yet I'm not forging ahead until I can be certain it's not going to interfere with the clarity of the interface at a smaller scale.
