Default Problems with TM-868 calibration

Just bought a TM-868 touch screen and installed the latest TouchKey SW v 5.0.0.5203.

When running the Draw Test, there is always an offset between the "touch" (marked with yellow dots) and where the + sign is drawn.

Here is the default settings:

Offset -20

Offset +20

Any ideas how to get calibration done correctly?

Welcome to the forums piggington!

If you are runnng Windows XP, then try these older drivers. Most of us have been running these older TouchKit drivers for a few years now and they work fine. I have had problems with newer drivers and finally over a year ago stopped installing the new ones they come out with. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. These work.

Post back on how they worked for you.

Thanks for the link!

I downloaded the drivers from your link, uninstalled 5.0.0.5203, reboot the PC, installed 4.3.0.2412, calibrated and... everything work smoothly! Draw Test is working like a charm!

Thank You! Now my FS9/FSX simpit is getting GPS!

Yes - I have FS9/FSX GA pit with 3x22" WS LCD connected to Matrox TripleHead2Go, 1 15" LCD for gauges and bunch of GoFlight modules for switches/radios. As soon as I get "GPS" integrated, I'll post pictures.

ok heres one for you, i am having similar issues with my TM-868, it calibrates fine, works fine, then for some reason the touchscreen loses connection with the drivers. I can still see the desktop, but no touchscreen. btween 5 and 20 mins on the average that i have noticed. it is intermittent, not always on a time schedule. as soon as i discon and recon the usb plug all is well. ive used both old and new drivers with no change. trying to use the TB for rfactor racing. any other ideas that i might be missing ?

ASUS P5PL2 board
Win XP sp2 with all the updates (not SP3 yet)
Nvidia 8600GT

So are you saying that when you touch the touchscreen the mouse does not move to where you touched? The mouse does not move 'at all'??

If so, I have never heard of this problem. And you have tried those old Beta drivers that we all use with no problems?

The only thing I can think of is that you have some other mouse software/driver that is disabling your touchkit mouse drivers. Maybe try running in safe mode and see if this still happens?

it does work when ya first reinstall the drivers, ranging from the beta's here to the newest ones 5.0....... it seems like things work for 5+ mins, then stop working at all to the touch. im starting to wonder if the screen is gettin hot and distorting or something, becuz i can push a bit harder (found out by accident when i was pushing he X's on the 4point calibration), and it starts working but with horrible calibration. i msgd the seller on ebay and he is gonna send some *new* drivers, if they dont work, he said he would send me a replacement.

I would also try it on another pc. Just to make sure it's not something on your computer.
