Or mabey I am confused. Seems as if i read that I could make an area of a tab transparent...but for the life of me i can't find any info on how to do it or find a profile that is using this feature. I would like to make the area inside the red square transparent.......can i do that? ![]() ![]() |

I have not used this in a profile, and it's been a long time... But Zorlac included a Module in TB called Click-Through. Just add a module to that tab and it should be the Click-Through module by default I think.
You need to set the the Application Title name of the window you want to show through the click-through module I think. Click the toolbar button on the module to show the properties and add this Title/Name. Finding out what that name is.. is the tricky part. It could be as easy as the name that appears in the Titlebar of that window. If that does not work, you will need to use a Windows 'Spy' program to identify the object name of that window. Open your profile in the Toolkit and press F1 to display the Help. Look in Help in the Toolkit Interface, Options help window. Here it describes the 'Default Send To' option. Do not use this option, but just read the Help info 'NOTE' which describes how to find out the applictions title or name. WBK

PS, I just tested this with the Windows Calcuator and it worked. Just put Calculator in as the Window's name.
EDIT: Also, I just realized your title of this thread asked for Click-Through, but in your message you don't say anything about click-through. If you just want an transparent area on a tab, zorlac has a sample tab called 'Transparent' in the demo-profile.tbc sample that comes with TB. I just tested it and could not get it to work. His sample uses Red (255,0,0) as the color in his image he wants to be transparent. Then you just go to the Tab Editor for that tab and set the Transparancy color to 255,0,0 as well. That is supposed to do it. And I also just noticed this at the end of the touchbuddy.cfg file. I don't know if it works or not, but to be safe make sure it is 1. # Enable/Disable the ability to use Transparency/Transluceny on tabs (set to 0 to disable) enable_transparent_tabs = 1

Thanks WB, I did as you suggested:
"If you just want an transparent area on a tab, zorlac has a sample tab called 'Transparent' in the demo-profile.tbc sample that comes with TB. I just tested it and could not get it to work. His sample uses Red (255,0,0) as the color in his image he wants to be transparent. Then you just go to the Tab Editor for that tab and set the Transparancy color to 255,0,0 as well. That is supposed to do it." "And I also just noticed this at the end of the touchbuddy.cfg file. I don't know if it works or not, but to be safe make sure it is 1." Worked like a champ for me!! I am still trying to get MFD Exporter to work with TB but they don't seem to play nice together for some reason. will let ya know if i get it sorted. |
