Hi,
I'm attempting to calibrate my touch screen but with no success. I try and perform the 4 points calibration on my touch screen (yes I'm on the right screen) but the screen doesn't recognise that I'm touching it. Where could I be going wrong? |

You have to touch and 'hold' your finger on the red X for about 3 seconds for it to recognize your touch.

An update for clarification....All this has occurred because I've upgraded to a new computer which runs Windows XP Professional x 64 bit. My existing profile does work with the mouse on the new machine but not with finger touch. The Diver I'm using is 5.0.0.5017, as used by Hattrick.

I'm not sure why HatTrick pointed you to that website. That is the website for the drivers, but we have always had problems with their drivers, and I pointed HatTrick to some Beta drivers that almost all of us use.
Get them here. Even though these are beta and also older versions, I have had the best luck with them over any new ones I have tried. I got tired of trying new ones and having problems and have been using these drivers for about 2+ years now. WBK

Yes,
The beta drivers do not work with 64bit XP.... The 5.0.0.5017 drivers work perfectly well on my touchscreen with zero issues. I have no idea why calibration would not be working on your screen unless 1) your USB needs to plugged/replugged back in, or 2) you dont have an actual touchscreen.

I think I know the problem. I have inadvertantly installed the old Beta Drivers when I transferred over the entire TouchBuddy folder from my old computer to my new computer's C Drive.
I assume therefore that I need to now delete these original drivers before I install the newer XP 64 bit compatible drivers (vers5.0.0.5017) in to my TB Folder. So the question now is....How do I identify the old drivers so that I can delete them, before I install the new ones? Sorry for the dumb ass questions. ![]() |

I think you just uninstall the drivers and delete the install folder to be sure. Power down reboot and then start over...
