hello.
i just want to say i am very intrigued about this touchscreen stuff.. i am currently making controllers for black shark.. i want a touchscreen setup. but currently i have black shark running on a computer that has Vista installed. i havent gotten any touchscreen hardware yet, but will touchbuddy work with a setup in which the server computer has vista x64, and the client is running on xp32 bit? |

Welcome to the forums both of you! Nice to see you helping out warmaker_pp. I would have no clue if that works. But I would think since they can network together that yes it should work.

Well i have a Asus EEE boxed (Intel Atom 270 processor, 1GB Ram, WinXP32 home) running as client, so the client specs are fairly low. As long as your processor can handle WinXP and has a 10MBit NIC, everything should be alright!
Thanks for the welcome WBK! I'm always glad to help out. As long as both computers are able to run TB every combination of OS for server/client will be alright. TB is sending the commands over a normal socket, so it wouldn't even matter if the OS would be MAC OSX or Linux. (Yes I know that TB will only be available for WIN ^^) The biggest problem I assume will be the graphical representation of the TB GUI on any other OS, but if we could find a good GUI programmer to assist the devs of TB this could become a viable solution also. ![]() Anyway, good luck and much fun with DCS hannibal, I'm now going back to continue the campaign. ![]() |

The requirements for TB have not been documented, but it is a very small application, and only uses more memory depending on how big your profile is. You can go into the Task Manager and click on the Performance tab to see what it uses. Or find some other system tool to check it out.
I looked at the Available Physical Memory before I load TB and then after loading TB. Then load a profile and see how much more it takes. But there are users running TB on Windows CE tablet pcs I think... WBK
