Exclamation Windows XP Pro x64 - Touch Calibration is Off!

I have a new pc and am running Windows XP Pro x64 bit. I have tried several 64 bit drivers. Several of them seem to work and calibrate ok, but they all seem to put the cursor about an inch below and to the left of where I touch my finger.

I tried to do a search on these forums, but search does not work. It is broken or something. Or maybe it does not like searching for the number 64? Or 64 bit, or x64?

Anyhow,... Did anybody else have this problem? And figure out how to get it fixed?

Yes, I had exactly the same problem (running exactly the same XP64 Prof configuration) which I was unable to resolve. I tried driver after driver (as my previous posts will atest) but in the end I gave up and have to use my mouse to click my "touchscreen" buttons.

I have been fairly lucky with my Touch screen drivers and have never had any issues with any I have tried over the last few years. Currently on 5.0.0.5203 [ XP 32 and Vista X64]

Just out of interest what graphic card are you using and driver version?

Have you tried the 9pt calibration.

Have you tried the draw test within the calibration utility.

I'm running a ATI 4870x2 with the 9.1 cats.
And I have a 26" 16:9 Monitor.

In the TouchKit settings, it looks like the 4:3 touchscrseen is a widescreen monitor.

I'm not sure if this is an issue. But I took have tried 4 different 64 bit drivers. I have also tried installing and calibrating TouchKit with my main monitor at 1024x768 in case it was distorting it.

I may have to just go to Client/Server mode using my old computer. I don't really want a second pc on my desk.

Thanks for the replies.

I don't have any experience with dual GPU cards but a couple of things to check.

On the calibration utility did you double click on the screen you want to use as your touch screen, the tick box on your pic above does not appear to show that enable multiple monitors is selected.

It may also be worth checking on the screen properties page that everything is OK [Touchscreen can be dragged to where you want it, does affect how mouse moves between screens]

Sorry if you have tried all this before - just clutching at straws im afraid.

Yes, all that is correct. I just didn't have that checkbox checked when I took the screenshot because I have moved the touchscreen over to my old computer to make sure it is not broken.... It works great on that pc.

Hmm.... I spent hours on this yesterday. Installing, calibrating, uninstalling, trying new drivers. System Restore, and start all over... Finally unplugged the touchscreen and plugged in into my old computer to see if it worked there, which it did....

Today, I turned both computers off and moved the touchscreen back over to the new pc and plugged it all in. No calibration, or anything. Just extended my desktop to it and it works fine now. The mouse goes almost exactly where I touch. Very weird!

I just noticed in TouchKit that it is showing my main monitor as Monitor 2. It was Monitor 1 before I disconnected the touchscreen.

I have a 4870x2 video card, which shows up in Windows as 3 monitors with two disabled. And the touchscreen shows up as number 3 for some reason.

I'm guessing this has something to do with it working now. And I am running version 5.0.1.5310 of the TouchKit x64 Drivers.

So, I'm hoping that next time I reformat and have to install this again, I remember to install everything, then disconnect the touchscreen and boot the pc without it for a while, then reconnect it and hope that fixes it. Arrg....

Glad to hear you have got it to work as intended - but does sound a bit strange.

long time reader 1st time poster - slightly off/on topic

Ok just got my Mimo 720s, spent 2 hours last night getting it up and running (came with a faulty cable) got TB running sweet with WBK IL2 profile, perfect calibration, starts on the Mimi after editng the touchbuddy.cfg

soon as I start IL2 (with Ultrapack2) the mouse pointer is half inch down and to the left, it works fine i just have to press half inch up and to the right of the button i want to hit!! using the mouse to click has perfect registration

I have only tried this so far with IL2, going to try WoP, F4:AF, Race On, LOMAC, RoF tonight...well maybe not all those tonight

running 64bit win8, 8 gig ram, IL2 Ultra Pack 2, latest e2i and displaylink drivers
