I have an old Tablet Pc here that I thought would be great to use Touchbuddy on. Being that it just sits in my closet with dust all over it. Anyway, its an AMD 100mhz CPU with 32 megs of ram. I have windows 98 running on it. I tried to launch touch buddy on it and it just wouldnt load. I got no errors or anything. The HDD just spun for about 10minutes before I gave up on it. I tried loading it twice and it wouldnt launch.
So what are the min system requirements to run this? Thanks SPaRX |

Here is a link to what I am trying to run this on.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fujitsu-Point-51...QQcmdZViewItem Would be great if you could get this program running on something like this. Its a touch screen and PC all in one . Just add a Network card and bam, you are rolling.SPaRX |

Drivers? If you mean drivers for the Touch Screen, that is not the problem. The touch screen is working just fine. I have used this on a couple of vacations to store pictures on from the wifes camera. You know when 32 meg cards were the BIG ones
. Everything is fully functional on the pentab. What the problem is, touch buddy wont even launch for me. |

As I dont have a development machine that has anything less the Windows 2000, I cannot test TB on any operating system from Win98 or earlier. If I manage to get an old machine from work, i`ll use that for backward regression testing, but dont hold your breath...

So many things I want to do in future TB development just wont work at all unless its running on Windows 2000 or above. The transparency/Translucency stuff is one example, but on Win98 it just doesnt support it. Not a show stopper, it just wont make anything transparent, but the extra fatures I want to add are core to the application, and so I have a small dilema. Either i leave these features out and keep TB Win98 and above, or add them and lose the Win98 compatability.
Tough call... <sigh>

you might want to look into virtual server from microsoft, its free and would allow you to install windows 98 on your main machine or any other os for testing.
