I have my touchscreen setup as a secondary monitor. When I start a game on my primary display (IL2 or LOMAC) and touch or click the secondary display (touchscreen), the game immediately minimizes. This happens whether TB is running or not.
Am I missing something here? It doesn't do that with IE or other applications...it takes focus away but doesn't minimize them. Any thoughts? Last edited by wraith; 08-24-2006 at 06:27 PM. |

all full-screen games will minimise if you click outside the game area because another window then gets the "focus".
In "Local" mode, TouchBuddy bypasses this by creating a window that refuses to "focus", but still obtains the mouse clicks and button presses. When you start TB, sometimes (err... most of the time) it will have the "focus" when the window opens, so click somewhere else to make TB lose that focus. Then fire your game up (or alt-tab it to the front), and then when you press anywhere inside the TB window, the main game shouldnt minimize.

Thanks. Ok...I tried your instructions like this:
I fired up TB and dragged it to the touchsreen. Loaded my IL2 profile and when it came up, i clicked the desktop on the touchscreen to have TB lose focus. Then I alt-tabbed to IL2. I then touched a button in my profile and IL2 minimized yet again. Did I do this right? |

I fired up LOMAC last night and it did the same thing except after when I alt-tab back to it, it would go right back to the desktop. It was a pain to close LOMAC after that. THis has to be something simple...a config setting in the OS or something???

which touchscreen did you get?
are you running any other programs or tasks in the background? ICQ/MSN/Yahoo? Any custom windows skinning applications? does it only happen when you click outside the game? If you leave the game and dont press on the other screen (and leave it 5-10 minutes), does the game stay at full-screen?

My touchscreen is the T800TS by Tview.
I am running the new MSN messenger live, no custom skinning programs. If i leave the game running for 5, 10, 20...and then touch the screen, it will still minimize the game. This only happens when i click outside the game on the touchscreen. Hope this helps...i'd really like to get local mode running as this is sooo cool! Thanks |

Zorlac, you said: "TouchBuddy bypasses this by creating a window that refuses to "focus", but still obtains the mouse clicks and button presses".
Do you make any DLL calls or use any ActiveX controls to make this happen? Wondering if there is a program that updated one on my system perhaps! Just another shot in the dark! |
