I have been using the previous version of TB and it has been working just fine. I installed the new version and I am getting a Program Error message stating, "Touchbuddy.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log has been created." In the Debug log it states,
"DB-> File DEBUG start - Mon Aug 28 10:26:19 2006 DB-> TouchBuddy v1.0.2, Revision 4 Any help much appreciated. SailorDoc PS Thanks to all for making all this happen |

what operating system are you running? if you enable debug in the touchbuddy.cfg file and run TB, what does that report in the debug txt file?

anyone else on windows 2000 here? do you see this problem?
it looks like its the memory usage routine, will check if its win2000 compliant (but I know I ran it on win2000 and win2003 server last week)

ok, on the case here (as much as I can be right now). Did you extract all the *.dll files from the TouchBuddy zip file?
I`ll write to some code to make the memory check routine optional (enable/disable in touchbuddy.cfg) in the next version. I`ll also write some dll checking.

download this:
http://www.syn-ack.com/touchbuddyreleases/TouchBuddy_for_SD.zip unzip it into your TouchBuddy directory (overwrite the existing one) and add this to the end of your touchbuddy.cfg file: Code:
#enable/disable the memory check routine memory_check = 0

Zorlac,
Appears to be working just fine after making your changes. I really appreciate your talent and dedication. TB is the best thing to happen for simmers in a very long time. Now that I am a full blown addict, I would not fly without it. Great stuff. Thank you! SailorDoc |

Sorry for the double post. I am well beyond an addict, I am a full blown junky and proud of it. The new version of TB will only last so long, we will begin to build up a tolerance for it and will soon need something stonger, I mean more improved. Great work!

great news... still utterly confused as to why it was failing, but the important thing is that its working now.
