Not sure what the problem is that causes your TB not to work with IL2 1946 but everything works fine with my installation of IL2 1946.
What are the symptoms? I notice sometimes that touching my TS will cause the IL2 game window to minimise and I've now figured out how to prevent this: Firstly run TB and launch your profile. Then start IL2 (I presume you are using fullscreen mode for IL2). Now the important bit, before you press any buttons on your touch screen move the mouse cursor from the IL2 full window over onto the touch screen window area. Now press a button on the touch screen. After that you can move your mouse anywhere. If I don't do this and leave the mouse cursor in the IL2 window everytime I touch the TS it minimises the game however when I do the above everything is fine for the rest of my gaming session. If this isn't your problem then please explain what is happening and we'll try and help you but from my experience everything is as it was with the old 4.04m version of IL2. |

I can confirm that the fix for original iL2 also works for iL2 1946
- go to the iL-2 directory - open conf.ini - look for the [rts] section - change "mouseUse=2" to "mouseUse=1" - save file

TB works great with 1946 !!! (after applying your tips in the conf.ini)
The only problem is that IL2 does not support my monitor resolution (1280x1024). Instead of that a maximum resolution of 1280x960 is possible. But I think that's on my graphic card (Radeon 9550). The problem is, that my TFT than squeezes the "touchable zone" a little bit. That means at lower end (nearly 1/2 centimeter) mouse moving is impossible. But all the graphics from TB are shown perfect! Best regards, Vinc Many thanks to zorlac for providing this great software! Last edited by Vinc_Vega; 12-20-2006 at 09:33 PM. |

But be careful: If you go to the config options in the program and change anything there, be it graphics or sound or whatever, these settings will be overwritten again and you have to change it manually afterwards. |

Thx _zenTera_ !
I know this workaround and did already so in the conf.ini. But as you wrote, it's a temporary solution. EDIT:after re-calibrating the TouchScreen the squeeze-effect never appears Nevertheless, knowing this problem, IL2 and Touch Buddy can be used. Last edited by Vinc_Vega; 01-05-2007 at 09:38 AM. |
