Hey gang, is anyone running falcon gauges with F4AF?
I am having some problems...can't figger it out...I have had them running before but am missing something this time around! Here is the deal........ F4Glass server on server machine.( recognizes client IP) F4Glass client on client machine (recognizes server IP) Falcon gauges on client machine start F4Glass on server and client start F4AF Launch Falcon gauges on client....gauges appear...but don't function. I know this program works so I gotta be missin a step somewhere! Any help will be much appreciated! Have a transparent tab ready n waiting for the guages. EDIT: OK got them working ...sorta.....Had to make an exception in my firewalls. Problem is they are very choppy! Last edited by Hipshot; 03-22-2007 at 10:23 PM. |

I'm using Falcongauges but on the same computer as I'm running the game..
Does it work flawless in a transparent tab or you too get a flashing tabstrip?? Right now I'm using a tab called "Gauges" which iconify TB when pressed.. Works great until I want to change tab again because then the sound from F4AF just disappear.. Do you have any similar problems?? |

F4Glass:
You can choose which gauges to show and move them and change the size of them just by clicking or/and moving your mouse.. However.. The HSI on F4Glass has an issue and can't show the course set correctly and the gauges are, in my opinion, not pretty compared to FalconGauges.. If I remember correctly I think that the RPM Gauge doesn't show the right RPM at all times.. Although there might be a newer version out there, I downloaded mine about a month ago.. FalconGauges: It's a 3d Fullscreen software and therefore a bit more complicated to set up to your likings and to make it work perfectly with TB.. But it's far more good looking and it works like a charm.. I recommend this software.. Although it requires som editing in the config file to show whatever gauges you want and to put them where you want.. If you have an 8 inch screen and running 800x600 I can give you my config file and save you a couple of hours =) You can find some helpfull info about it in the thread below.. Mentioned first are F4Glass but the discussion is mainly about the FalconGauges 'cause I gave up the Glass pretty qiuck.. Is this possible?? Hope you can at least find something usefull there.. Actually, I am not having any luck at all.
No prob getting a transparent tab with TB, just it wont load on top of Falcongauge, Also the gauges are very choppy..so much so as to render them useless. I will prolly play around with it for awhile longer but if I cant get it to work right....no biggie! I have 3 monitors on my client side, I will just run the gauges on the the 17" non touch! ( provided that I can get them to streighten up n fly right) |
